Council of Arctic Winters
The council is made up of elders, scouts, the herbalist, mentors, the stud, guards, the Alpha and her Beta and mate. Together they work to protect the pack making the hard decisions for the benefit of the pack. It also ensures that the elder's stories and traditions are passed down and never forgotten. They live underneath a magnificent oak tree which symbolizes history as these trees live for thousands of years. To the pack it represents that knowledge is eternal and forever, as though it may be lost it isn't gone.
Wolves in the council are viewed with the utmost respect, failing to do so can result in harsh punishments. In the council not one wolf is higher than the other they all view each other as equals.
All actions are consulted, and advice is given but course of action is left to the Alpha and beta.
......
You stumble into a hidden clearing where a beautiful oak tree covered in snow stands at the centre. At the foot surrounded by roots, a collection of wolves differing in colour and age sit in a circle. It is hard to distinguish who is in charge before you realize that they must be a council, therefore why they sit in a circle.
Careful not to disturb them you sit and assess the rest of the clearing. You see that the oak tree has a cavern in it you figure that must be where they sleep. Unaware that they had noticed you, you were startled when their voices seemed closer to you. Realizing your mistake you apologize for interrupting; they however just laugh and say you are not the first nor will you be the last. Confused you bid your farewells to explore more of the pack's territory.
Council's moto
It's your road
and yours alone.
Others may walk
it with you,
but no one can
walk it for you.
