Twisted Oak

A huge, twisted oak tree with a hollowed-out center towards the bottom. Nests dot the ground within the hollow, protected from the elements by the rough bark of the trunk. Skulls, ribs, and other trophies are strung along the inside walls of the hollow, bleached dry by the sun and hung with vines and scented herbs to promote good morale and restful sleep.

The Knights of the pack are located within this den, switching shifts through the day and taking turns guarding the pack at night. The den itself is located near the pack's entrance, the first line of defense against threats to the pack and its members. Should there be a flood, the Knights will aid the rest of the pack in climbing the rough trunk of the tree, and the branches will provide a temporary shelter until the waters dry once more.
