• Purpose Precipice •
Once a pup reaches six moons of age, they make the long journey by themselves to a place the pack called Purpose Precipice. Alone, each pup travels three days and three nights outside of pack territory. This long trek serves a purpose of offering new experiences that will shape the young wolf and their future. For the first time, they must hunt, gather, and care for themselves. Past plains, past forest, and into the mountains, they follow the women trail shaped by the paws of their ancestors. The Purpose Precipice is the highest ledge of the mountain, spanning hundreds of feet into the air. After climbing the rocks, the pup will sit on the edge of the rock, looking down onto the earth. Here, they sleep and their dreams will hold their purpose, given to them by their ancestors. When they awake again, they are no longer a pup, but a young adult. They return back to the pack for a celebration where they're paired to a mentor who will teach them.
