Sanctuary
Wolves of Nyx gladly welcome in all wolves they come across. Unfortunately, this doesn't mean that they have the ability to feed and care for all wolves found roaming in their territory. Instead, they must do what is best for both their pack members and those looking for a home.
The second largest den within the network of caves that the Nyx pack calls home is set aside as a refuge for those with no where's else to go. They are given plenty of space to rest and train until they can find a larger pack that is better suited to their specific needs. Mentors and higher-ranking members of the Nyx pack invite those within this den to spend time within the training grounds so that they may hone their particular skills. This allows them to grow stronger so that perspective packs will be able to find a place for them.
The wolves of Nyx have been blessed by the gods with prolific fertility and health in procreation. This has been reflected in the occurrence of at least two or three pregnant wolves at almost all times as well as dozens of pups running in and out of every cave in their territory. These blessings are not something they feel the need to be selfish with. Many of the pups blessed into this pack are trained and then sent off to allied packs to help ensure their longevity. This practice has helped build strong bonds with a number of packs across the land while preventing a genetic bottleneck within the pack.
