Sangui
Sangui are the lifeblood of the pack. They care for the young primarily, including acting as mentors for the pups, but will often step in and substitute for pack-mates who are unable to fulfill pack duties. Scouts are not technically sangui, but they guard the camp when they're not patrolling, so they stay with the sangui. Adolescents are considered sangui until they are chosen for duty, so some wolves may go their whole lives from puphood to death as a sangui. Sangui are not less important to the pack. They are the pack.
