Aqueous

HISTORY

Aqueous was the first family to be formed - and was a family before families were fully recognized. It was created by the First Noble, Skink, as a way to keep order and have specific knights and workers under her. When the law was passed to make families recognized organizations, their leader immediately registered her and her pre-chosen underlings as a family. Others soon flocked to her, though she made no move to allow them in unless they were willing to sacrifice everything for it, claiming that any who joined has to be worthy of her protection and adamant in their loyalty.

However, Skink did allow one other than her and her pups - she allowed a small red she with many odd black patches. Her name was Igneous - in direct contrast with the name of the family, Aqueous. So it became that there were two noble families within one - Igneous and Aqueous, though the name of both continued to be that of the overarching/original family.

ABOUT

Aqueous has a rivalry with Wing & Claw, carrying over from the original creators of the families. While their rivals prefer quiet phsycological warfare, Aqueous will oftentimes gaslight, steal from, and even sometimes harm the members of Wing & Claw. This means that the two lineages will never mix, and friendliness is not only disadvised and looked down upon, but traitorous and could get the minglers exiled from their respective families.

This is the largest and most traditional of the families, as well as one of the richest.
The riches are shared greatly among the knights and workers, although the nobles will never give freely to those outside of the family.

The nobles of this family are quite cold towards outsiders, refusing medical service, food, or any such product to them for any more than one and a half the usual price. Wolves aren't allowed into this family without severe sacrifice, although it's easiest for new wolves to get in.

Aqueous has the oldest blood of the pack, rivaling that of the royal family. Some claim inbreeding runs rampant, although Aqueous denies all claims. This is because nobles aren't allowed to breed to those outside of the family and then bring the members in - if a member wants to breed with a wolf that the Head Mother/Father disapproves of, they must leave the family. This is unless it's approved as an arranged marriage for the good of the family, in which case the female will go to live amongst the male's family.
