The Sanctuary
as you enter the cave, you are greeted with the stares of several wolves. the den is quite large and rather homey, with decor clearly not local. beds of moss and grass are decorated with smooth lake stones and seabird feathers. shells are gathered in piles or strung along the walls. and in some shells, you can even spot the luster of rare pearls.
the brown wolf sits in the middle of the cave and finally speaks,
"I am Saraswati, the queen of the Margārīta and the mother of pearl.
we are what is left of the seawolves along the coast before the humans invaded.
this is our sanctuary for the time being,
until we find a place more suitable for our aquatic tastes.
as my guest, feel free to mingle with the members of our pack
and stay as long as you'd like."
