The Hues:
Briar-Rose was born to a no named pack of albino wolves. They were beautiful white wolves who valued purity above all else: pure blood, pure coats, pure everything. Sadly, however, when young Briar-rose was born her parents did nothing to welcome the little pup into the word. In fact, they detested her from the beginning. Even nursing was met with disgust and hatred from her mother. She was seen as tainted, a bad omen, something that would bring nothing but heartache, devastation and some even believed her to bring death.
Because of this, Briar-Rose had always felt like not only an outsider, but a cancer to her family. Feeling as though she was less than worthless, having no true value. Despite the lack of confidence she had within and about herself, she still held the one trait that would eventually lead her way to pave her own path, that trait was her unwavering optimism. On the day she was approached by her parents upon reaching adolescence, she would find her first true heartbreak...
"Briar-Rose, you must leave this land, you are no longer welcomed here. You are an omen that we simply cannot ignore any longer... you may leave of your own accord or you shall be forced to leave. You are not welcome here anymore and we do not wish to see you again"
Her parent's utter disgust and hatred within their words was all the young dame needed to hear to know there was no love for her here.
With a heavy heart, and tear-filled eyes Briar-Rose knew she only had one option. She had to leave or she would be forced to do so, or worse. With this knowledge in mind, she turned her back on the only home she had ever known and began to head out into the unknown. Unsure of what the future held in store for her, nor what life would bring her, with an optimistic outlook she took on her new adventure with confident strides.
As Briar-Rose struggled to survive for months on her own she hunted small rodents, searching for scraps of carcasses and little puddles of water for survival. It was when she reached 2 years old that she found herself starving, malnourished and almost on death's door. Just when she thought she could no longer continue forth, she came across an ominous looking forest that was covered with a heavy mist.
Knowing she had few options, the young dame stepped within. She delved further and further within the lands, where she found this place ,although ominous in looks, held beautiful secrets. There were amall hunting grounds that held deer and smaller mammals she could hunt for food, a lake that lay dormant in the center of the territory, Briar-Rose decided to brave this new land, not only accepting it as a place to visit, but soon learning to call it home, at which time she blessed this land with its name. Much like her, this land was abandoned and unwanted, she dubbed it The Hue's.
After living here for just over half a year, Briar-Rose was one day out hunting for some food, looking much thicker and healthier than she ever had in her previous home, when she came across some tired, warn-down and odd-looking wolves. These wolves held unique looks and so as she approached this group of wolves with a warm and welcoming smile as they came within her land.
"Hello there, what brings you wolves here, to this beautiful land that I call home??" her tone soft yet curious.
The skinniest of the wolves was the first to step forth.
"Hello miss, we are sorry to intrude. You see, we are wolves from all over the lands, unwanted or feeling rejected by most because of our looks. We are simply here in search of some food and water if you would be so kind as to share with us" He said weakly on shakey, worn down, cracked paws.
Briar-Rose looked at the small group with an empathetic gaze as she spoke "While I cannot offer you free food or water, I can offer a chance to join me if you wish to do so. We will become a family, as I too know what it feels like to be unwelcome and unwanted within a home. I would never wish others to feel this way, so what do you say??" Her words sincere her smile never faltering.
Briar-Rose then stretched out her paw, offering it to the strangers in welcome to a new beginning for them all.
As she did so the wolves offered her a look gratitude for offering them not only hope for survival but the hope of a home and a family, a purpose.
And so with that, the Hue's pack was born.
