Tall Firs [Mentors/Training]
On the leeward side of the point, facing northeast onto the bay, the densely packed cedars give way to a more open forest of enormous douglas-firs. Closer to the shore, grassy clearings appear, fringed by gnarled oaks and twisting arbutus.A myriad of dens ring the meadows, mostly housing pups and the elders who train them. Those just stopping by in search of new packs often stay here as well.
