Humanity has suddenly disappeared, as if plucked out of thin air, and all that's left are the animals. The buildings that once stood tall have now crumbled, flora crawling across the broken concrete and clawing their way up the steel beams that lay standing, exposed to the world. The streets that used to be dangerous barricades for dogs stands empty, the metal beasts that roared across them and spewed clouds of darkness having vanished. The sounds of humanity did not fill the air any longer, the only sound being animals, the birds chirping, the underbrush rustling and the water babbling. The domesticated livestock and more wilder animals now roam free without restrain, the food chain sorting itself out in an instant. With the city finally silent, the countryside springs to life and the woods flourish, those already residing there finding new refuges, meaning more mouths to feed as resources are now limited by the skills of the hunters.
What will happen to all of the pet dogs, the dogs in loving homes or the dogs trapped in shelters? What of the street dogs that have already learned to survive or the working dogs that now have no purpose?

Name: Freyr
Gender: male
Breed: Dalmatian
Physical Description: Freyr is a long-haired liver-colored dalmatian standing at 22 inches at the shoulder and weighing 65lbs. His eyes are a translucent yellow-green and he wears a simple chain collar without license tags.
Personality: Freyr can be a bit of a scaredy-cat, jumping at loud noises and shadows that move too fast, but once he overcomes that initial fear, he holds his ground unwaveringly. He isn't a fighter and was raised inside all of his life, only leaving the house to go on runs and hikes, even the occasional dog park adventure. Freyr loves the water and meeting new dogs, whether they like him or not, and he enjoys companionship but can endure solitude. Conflict is terrifying for Freyr and he'd rather show his belly and submit than try to challenge anyone for authority but can become a loyal and trusting packmate once differences are resolved.

Physical Description: Autumn is on the smaller side, standing at 18 inches at the shoulder and weighing 42 pounds. Her fur is a red merle with tan points and white irish patterning, with a liver-colored nose and yellow-green eyes that tend to look glassy and almost gray in color.
Personality: Autumn is a rambunctious and outgoing dog, wanting to be friends with everyone and always wanting to do something whether it's playing, scavenging, or finding places to seek shelter for the night. She was in the shelter when the devastation happened and desperately wants the company of another dog, having been surrendered due to her in-your-face nature when meeting other dogs. She simply couldn't help it! She loves to play with others!
