Beasts of Avishkar Lore/Info Link (Picture of character's human/werewolf form if applicable) Your Name/Pronouns: -Flaw 1 (First major character flaw. No one's perfect, so what's holding your character back? Does their mouth get them into trouble? Maybe an achy leg keeps them from moving far? Make it something substantial that'll really impact your character.) Backstory: Where does your character come from? Who's your family? How'd you become a werewolf? How/why did you become your profession? Give us some background! Motivations/Goals: What drives your character? What have they set out to do in Avishkar? What do they hope to accomplish? This is very important as this section will help guide us as to where to take the story. I'd like this to be very player driven. Your Age: Twenty-eight (28) Frequency: Almost every day. Thursdays and Fridays are up in the air though, because they are my off days and I play catchup on errands. I have a lot of downtime during working hours, so that's when I'll mostly reply. Your Writing Style: Stream of consciousness. I tend to be a bit wordy sometimes, but I enjoy writing what my characters are thinking, feeling, and experiencing. Giving my characters internal conflicts, or just flat out hurting them, is a favorite as well. Dark, horror, and found family are themes I enjoy, as is character driven plots. Your Writing Amount: Depends on what is going on. If my character is not doing anything but standing around, a 5+ sentence paragraph. If he's actually doing something or communicating typically 2-4 paragraphs. Character Name: Gavriil Belyakov Character Age: Twenty-eight (28) Character Gender/Pronouns: Male (He/Him) Profession: Wanderer Human Appearance: This is Gavriil. If you'd like me to type out a description as well I will. I just didn't want to if I didn't have too.~ Wolf Appearance: Here's his colors to make visualizing him easier. Standing at roughly 9 1/2 feet tall, Gavriil isn't the tallest male out there, but what he lacks in height he makes up for in speed. He is wiry and lean, musculature like a runner. This doesn't mean he doesn't have the werewolf strength, but he prefers to use brains over brawn. His fur is thick, made for the cold while being long on his chest and ruff. It's charcoal grey around his sides, back, and lower abdomen, but lightens considerably at his hands and paws into a light tan. Along his dorsal the fur is a dark ginger that runs up long his neck and creates an almost masked pattern on his face. The werewolf's chest and chin are the same light tan as his paws. His nose and claws are black, while his eyes remain the same hazel color as his human form. Personality Description: Gavriil's default mode is sarcasm. Normal conversation? Sarcasm. Life in danger? Extreme sarcasm. Serious discussion? Moderately less sarcasm. Mostly it's a defense mechanism on his part, particularly in the recent years. The more annoyed someone is at him, the less close they look. Instead, they just want to get rid of him and his smart mouth as soon as possible. Before the curse he wasn't near as bad and was actually someone who truly enjoyed being around other people. Gavriil is a social person by nature, and hates being alone. The new pack mentality has only exacerbated this. So having to push everyone away breaks something in him almost every time. Particularly those that are nice to him. It's safer that way; both for himself and for others. However, if someone he can feel safe with is able to ignore his rather sharp tongue Gavriil is loyal to a fault, almost recklessly so. He'll show his deeply hidden playful side, which is quick to laugh and tussle. And would give them anything they wanted if it meant keeping them around. He's tired of playing lone wolf. - A Reliance on Others: Not for them to take care of him, but rather the opposite. He needs a purpose, someone to look after and do things for or he feels aimless. This is in no way related to romance of any kind. Instead, it is in a familial capacity. Having grown up in a large, loving family, the lack of it makes him think of life as pointless. - Indulgent and Hedonistic. Gavriil is one for the finer things in life if he can get it. He's not stupid about it like some, but if it is between buying an expensive pastry he loves and going without money for the next couple of days he'll take the pastry. He'd much rather sleep in a bed in a hotel then the ground outside and will sneak into an Inn to make it happen if he has too. Stealing is not above him, nor is conning to get what he wants. + Control. He's not exactly sure why he has such good control compared to some werewolves, but the fact remains that his emotions rarely invoke a change. This is probably a good thing considering he does have a bit of a temper. However, like all werewolves he cannot control himself on the full moon. + Adaptable, clever, and imaginative. This is how he's survived for so long after leaving his family. Gavriil might have the strength, and teeth, of a werewolf, but he finds that his mind is a much more useful tool. If he can get what he wants using tricks, stealth, or a well-made plan that's what he'll do. Brute strength isn't his thing unless it has to be. He's street smart and savvy, using these to his advantage quite often. Backstory: As you probably guessed already, Gavriil grew up in a large, chaotic family who were very close. He was the youngest child and had two older brothers and one older sister. As such he tended to get away with more and was always trailing after his brothers to try and imitate them. Luckily neither Kazimir nor Zakhar minded it, since their parents were getting up there in age. They raised Gavriil more than their mother and father, and everything he knows now came from them. Loyalty, hard work, and compassion were taught by Kazimir. Determination, cheekiness, and street savviness were things Zakhar instilled in him. Gavriil had a wonderful childhood, knowing love and family all the way into his young adulthood. It was at twenty-five when everything went wrong. Theirs was a small town, sitting at the foot of a foresty mountain range. Often groups of people would venture into the wilderness in search of things, fresh berries, herbs, or animals for meat. It was rarely dangerous, as they hadn't seen a predator in many years, outside of a mountain lion or two. So Gavriil didn't think twice about going out early one morning to spend the day collecting wild blackberries and mint for his sister. He went into the mountains a human, but he came out a werewolf. He doesn't remember much about the encounter, only dark grey fur, piercing yellow eyes, and a roaring growl that seemed to shake the ground. To this day he doesn't think the werewolf meant to hurt him, or he'd be dead. But rather he'd startled a creature who was frightened by humans. When he woke up, he wasn't sure how much time had passed, only that his shoulder was throbbing and tacky with dried blood. When he'd pulled his shirt away there was a perfectly made bite mark still oozing blood. Like most virs Gavriil knew the stories of werewolves and what happened to them once the curse took hold. In a panic he went to the one person who he felt safest with, praying the whole time that this wasn't happening. But even Kazimir couldn't save him from what he'd become: a monster. To his brother's credit, both Kazimir and Zakhar tried to shield him from the reality and from anyone prying eyes. At first, he thought it was a false alarm after almost a month passed and he showed no signs of being infected. He thought he was a lucky one. Then the full moon happened, and all hell broke loose. The night was a blur, but the morning splashed the cold reality down upon him. Lying naked in the family field, covered in gore and surrounded by the corpses of the family cattle, told him all he needed to know. He was a werewolf. The only silver lining was that he'd not harmed a family member. It was then that he knew he had to leave, to protect the others. He would not allow the wrath of the Church to fall upon his people. Saying goodbye had been, and still was, the hardest thing he'd ever have to do. If it wasn't for the knowledge that it would destroy them, he'd have asked them to go ahead and put him out of his misery. That was three years ago, almost four, and since them Gavriil has travelled from place to place. He does odd jobs for food and places to sleep, and rarely sticks around one place for more than a few weeks. It's just too dangerous. Thanks to his control he has been able to stay under the radar, ear to the ground for any kind of information on the Lycan Order. Motivations/Goals: Mainly he wants a pack, a family, again. He wants a place to live safely and to remember what joy actually felt like. Feelings on the "Curse": He doesn't hate the curse; he hates that the vir's cannot see that they are not monsters who need to be put down. Marked?: No Forum or Discord?: Either is fine with me. Yes or No to Dicerolls?: Er, I'm going with no because I have no idea what that means. I've never played DnD. Other: Dr. Dolph Reaper. I'd also like to, much later in the Rp, bring in Kazimir as a secondary character of mine if that's okay? He won't play a big part, but he is important to Gavriil's story. |
