The large she-cat slowly woke from her slumber, her emerald gaze slowly opening as she glanced outside the Warrior's den. She let out a soft sigh, noting the faint light shining through the den entrance meant the sun was already rising in the sky. Halftail slowly stood, glancing around at the other warriors still sleeping in their nests before silently making her way out of the den. She blinked to clear the sleep from her eyes and adjust them to the morning sun. She reached a paw up to rub at her face, half-heartedly smoothing down whatever thick fur along her cheeks and head had become unruly in the night. The dark-colored she-cat took a moment to breath in the scents of the morning air, stretching out her muscular form and trying to shake the sleep from her body. She shook out her head and shoulders, groaning quietly at the faint pain that shot through her ribs. She scented the air once more, noting that Tigermoth and Riverwhisper must have already been awake and out-and-about since their scents were the freshest. Her gaze shifted among the quiet clan, her bobbed tail twitching as she made her way over towards one of the entrances. The she-cat wasn't going anywhere outside of the clan, but she simply wanted to sit and take in the calm morning for once. |

Moonpaw • Apprentice • She/herMoonpaw blinked open her eyes as the dawn light filtered into the den. She yawned and sat up. She stretched and then settled down to groom her unruly fur. She licked her shoulder fur to smooth it down, as she was grooming herself she wondered if Riverwhisper had already assigned patrols for the day, if the deputy did, she wondered if she had been assigned to any. Moonpaw blinked sleep from her eyes as she swiped a wet paw over her head to calm to crazy fur that was sticking up on her head. Once she was finished grooming she stood up and pushed out of the apprentices' den. She glanced around the clearing then padded across to Riverwhisper. "Am I assigned to any of the patrols?" She asked the older she-cat. Riverwhisper • Deputy • She/herThe she-cat looked over her shoulder as Moonpaw padded across the clearing to her. She twitched her ears as the young black she-cat asked if she was assigned to any patrols. "No, I haven't assigned patrols yet," Riverwhisper told her, glancing up at the early morning sky. She glanced around and spotted Halftail and Tigermoth were also awake. She'd need to send out a dawn patrol soon. |

As Tigermoth waited outside the medicine cat den, she began the exercises that Tinyshadow had given her, they where a pain to do on land but she wanted to get back to her previous strength to help protect the clan. The twinges her shoulder experienced began to dull as she flexed out her muscles, Tigermoth sighed as the pain left her, glad that she didn't need to bother Tinyshadow with her pain any longer. Tigermoth exited her thoughts as she began to smell a stronger scent of her clanmates, she lifted her head and stopped stretching, and began to gaze around the camp. It appeared that Moonpaw, Riverwhisper and Halftail where awake, maybe enough to form a patrol, Tigermoth stood up, shaking a paw that had fallen asleep and carefully made her way over to where Riverwhisper and Moonpaw where. She respectfully dipped her head in greeting to the deputy and gave a beaming smile to the apprentice. "I guess you're gonna be a big sister any day now" Tigermoth purred. |

Unsure what had suddenly woken him, Silentflight blinked sleep from his eyes. Maybe some sort of movement from an early riser? Yawning widely, the tom was contemplating going back to sleep for a bit since he'd been out so late fetching Tinyshadow. His stomach, however, had different plans. It grumbled loudly, protesting the fact that it had not been fed much the previous day. Feeling betrayed by his own body, Silentflight pushed himself to his feet and carefully shook out any moss lingering in his short pelt. He'd eat something small, then see who else was up and if anything needed to be done. Another day in paradise, he thought sarcastically, exiting the warriors den and beelining for the fresh-kill pile. There wasn't much, but he figured Riverwhisper would be sending out morning patrols soon. Grabbing a scrawny mouse, Silentflight turned and made his way to a quiet corner to quickly eat. ((Edited out Tinyshadow in this post. Shetan replied while I was typing so his part made no sense. XD Will get to him next time.)) |

Owlstar winced as he slowly uncurled, wishing he had gotten his injuries checked the previous night. In the light of morning, they looked even worse than they had last night. He was still slightly hesitant to go to Tinyshadow for herbs. Wouldn't it be a waste to use them on a cat with multiple lives to spare? He might go clean them out in the river... But it was still so early and he wanted to go back to sleep. With a small sigh, he left his nest, removing the stray lavender from his fur. Wanting to look slightly presentable, he groomed his fur flat, before leaving his den. He might change the bedding later. He found moss rather itchy, and longed for the nests made of smooth leaves and feathers. He stretched for a moment in the warm sun, revitalized by the light and warmth. Walking over to one of the trees that grew in camp, he sunk his claws into the bark, and streched, digging long furrows into the trunk. His deputy was awake, along with some of the others. He stalked over to the freshkill pile, noticing Moonpaw walk past. The prey they had should be enough to last a few days, so he would suggest a slight increase of border patrols. He remembered he did have one official duty for the morning, however. They didn't have any official meeting place, so he picked a nice tall stump that was near the center of camp. "Let every cat old enough to catch their own prey join me beneath the stump." He had jumped atop it, and was waiting for his clan to gather beneath him. Most of the clan was awake, so he felt it was a good time for the ceremony. |

Rainbite - Warrior - He/himAs he fell asleep, the warrior was greeted by dreams, dreams of his old home. Snow had fallen on the bitter mountain, and twilight had befallen them. He was on guard with only the sound of thick snowflakes falling onto the snow drifts to keep him company. Everyone was resting, save for him. ...Why did this feel familiar? In the darkness was several rumbling growls, a noise that sent chills up his spine. Being accustomed to mountain life, not much had come to frighten him- not the sound of mountain lion calls, not the roar of bears...no, he only feared the sound of his own kind. Any beast on the mountain would make a quick and clean kill for the sake of hunger, but rival clowders were cruel in their games. They aimed to make the enemy suffer, to strike fear into their hearts. Rainbite had tensed, preparing to raise the alarm before he found himself being bombarded by rogues. ---- With a soft snort, the warrior awoke abruptly. He found his claws sinking into his nest, and sighed softly to himself before forcing his fur flat. Just another nightmare. Rainbite squinted at the outside to find that it was already dawn- later than he anticipated. He needed to get moving. He rose to his paws quickly, making his exit before striking his head against a low hanging branch with a soft thunk. "Hrrgh..." Rainbite recoiled, forgetting that he needed to duck when entering and leaving. It wasn't like the spacious dens in the mountains. While rubbing his temples, Rainbite overheard Owlstar's call for a meeting. He hoped that it'd be brief- he wanted to head out on his own to gather some moss. Things were looking a little low. The large tom trudged over to the gathering space, intentionally giving himself space away from the others. |

Halftail was shaken from her thoughts by the faint sound of Owlstar's voice, announcing some sort of meeting from what she was able to gather. She quickly stood, shaking out the dust from her pelt before turning and making her way back through the clan site. Her emerald gaze focused on their leader, whom was atop a rather large stump. A few other cats had already arrived and found places for themselves, causing the large she-cat to pick up her walk to a gentle jog. Whatever it was, she didn't want to be too late for or miss any important details from his announcement. Her gaze cut through the crowd of cats, and she decided on settling into a spot more towards the right of the group...keeping a few lengths between her and the others incase anyone's friends or family members wished to sit beside them. Her bobbed tail twitched, her face scrunched up just a bit in curiosity and confusion. She didn't recall there being any announcements or meetings scheduled for the day...perhaps their leader was simply wanting to discuss today's plans or something similar. |

Seeing the cats gathered below, he began to speak, flicking his tail for silence. "Moonpaw. You have been without an official mentor since we moved camps." He avoided mentioning the mudslide, not wanting to spoil the moment with all the bad memories. "I have been discussing with my deputy, and we have made a decision." He let the suspense build for a moment, enjoying the feeling. It was nice to perform a more positive ceremony, and he loved when the clan listened to his every word like this. "Moonpaw, your new mentor will be Halftail. I hope that Halftail will pass all she knows down to you." He turned to face Moonpaw, signaling her to move forward with a slight curl of his tailtip. "Halftail, you have proven yourself ready for an apprentice, and have received excellent training from your former mentor. You will be mentor to Moonpaw, and I trust that you will pass down to her all that you know." |

Moonpaw • Apprentice • She/herMoonpaw sat down near Owlstar as the tom began to speak. She pricked her ears as she listened. Her eyes widened as he beckoned her forward. She padded closer to the older tom and turned to face Halftail. The warrior had started to approach them. Moonpaw twitched her ears as she remembered how her original mentor had been killed in the mudslide. She pushed the thought away and touched noses with Halftail. "I promise to be the best apprentice ever," She told the warrior. |

Halftail's emerald gaze widened, surprise evident on her face. She quickly stood up, making her way through the small crowd of cats to stand in front of Owlstar, beside Moonpaw. The large she-cat's fur was a bit disheveled as she swallowed down the nervousness beginning to squirm in her belly. She glanced up at Owlstar, listening as their leader talked before she turned to glance down at Moonpaw. Halftail bent down just a bit, tilting her head to gently touch her nose to Moonpaw's nose, her ears flicking towards the apprentice before her...well, her apprentice. "I promise to pass on all the knowledge and wisdom I know..." she murmured out for the the other cats and Owlstar to hear, though she added on quietly just for Moonpaw and perhaps Owlstar to hear her whisper, "I will do my best to be a respectable mentor and warrior for you, Moonpaw..." The large she-cat offered a very small and barely noticeable smile towards the small, black she-cat standing before her before she turned her emerald gaze on their leader, Owlstar... |
