Prioritize Game Dynamics Over Visual Enhancements

Prioritize Game Dynamics Over Visual Enhancements

It's apparent that the development of this game has been ongoing, but it feels somewhat incomplete. While I understand that the developers are managing multiple projects, including Lioden and the new Evosaur (Dino version), it's disheartening to see this game take a back seat for a long time.
I've invested money in this game with the understanding that it would take time for all the features to be fine-tuned. However, it often feels like our feedback and concerns are being actively ignored. Developers have kept us in the loop for game enhancements, but those enhancements have been declared over a year ago.
I've taken the initiative to compile a list of issues and suggestions based on both my personal experiences and what I've heard from the community. Rather than introducing new character bases, poses, or recipes, I believe it's crucial for the developers to address these fundamental gameplay issues. Without a solid foundation, additional visual elements won't provide the satisfying experience we all desire.

1. Enclave bear
- The long promised Enclave bear with special event currency. The pup sink just isn't holding well enough.

2. Crafting Difficulty
- Nesting: I am tired of burying and unburying everything just so I can get to remnant feathers. This post has suggested a wonderful alternative and I would love to have that option or something of the sort.

3. Unnecessary Roll-over features
- Many have been asking for the ability to read messages, forums and news without needing to roll over. This feature is vital and I'm sure it causes many people to abandon the game. It's hard to play and enjoy the game if you have to feed your 93 wolves just because you want to answer one message. [Link]

4. Pupsitter Fine Tuning
- I have seen issues where 100% pups can die if the pupsitter dies at the next roll over, don't think that is warranted. [Link]
- I would appreciate being able to assign pups to pupsitters and check which pup sitter has what pup without clicking a hundred buttons just to find one pup.

5. Notification center rehaul
- Give notifications for being outbid on a trade.
- Remove needless notifications – personally, I don't need to know that I didn't win something in a raffle. Maybe having raffle activity/history in a new tab in the raffle section rather than notification box.
- New pup birth - no link to mother. Having a link to which wolf gave birth would be nice, otherwise the notification is relatively useless.

6. Gene Bat
- As a massive carrier breeder, I would massively appreciate some way to make testing pups less clicks. I have a carrier Stud as well which means the mass majority of my pups are potentials.  That's a lot of clicking.

7. Carrier Search Feature
- I need to search for wolves that are confirmed carriers. I know there are a lot of untested wolves that probably are carriers, but I would love to have confirmed carrier wolves as a search option.

8. Traveling wolf fine tuning
- Either locked bios, locked decors, or locked days of traveling. This link speaks of unethical décor farming. I know sending out a wolf is under your own risk, but having some borders where the owner doesn't just recall at another's benefit would be nice. I would propose a 24 lock once entering a new pack as a traveling wolf. Maybe you can feed your traveling wolf if you're worried about them running off.

9. Avoid chase pool
- A way to "kill/release" a wolf without throwing it into the chasing pool. There are wolves I don't want to be thrown into the chase pool. But I don't want to keep either. I've heard that the only way of bypassing is spending retirement fee. I spend that on wolves I want to keep early in my dynasty, not to avoid the pool directly.

10. Custom décor rehaul
- There has been back and forth about custom decors. But the standard is not equal across the board. Some people have rejections for the same things others get passes for. Décor acceptance has been somewhat at random currently.
- Lack of communication: I'm sure Xylax gets a barrage of messages of clarification on top of his own job. But that is why there are artists working along side him. Yet there are multiple complaints in forums, on website, and off-website of there being EXTREMELY poor communication for why decors are being rejected, what needs to be improved, or just downright rejection. People can handle rejection, but not when everyone else gets passed for pixelated art while theirs just had a different color of an already accepted décor. It takes 4 months for something to be viewed at or clarified.

I'm sure that many people admire this game, want to love it, and even spend money on this game. I personally want to spend money to support the developers for their work. But it's hard when the players are treated like a brick wall. More art is being added and thrown in when many of us have been asking for gameplay comfort. I want to admire the hands that put this game together but it's hard when this game doesn't feel cared for. I don't want to vote on a new mask recipe or a new craftable base when past promises haven't been heeded. I love this game, and I want it to live.

Another gameplay feature that I've heard others (myself included) complain about is the amount of hunting parties. For those of us with larger packs, it's impossible for us to feed them with only 4 parties.  We could desperately use an increase in party amounts that more fairly corresponds with the size of the players pack.
Same goes with amusement. There's no accounting for larger packs that have no more means to gather amusement than someone with a smaller pack.... This might be harder to fix, but we either need more scouts for larger packs, less regeneration time and/or the ability to bring back more items based on pack size.
I love this game and spend a good chunk of real currency on it, but the lack of attention to the basics of the game make it feel more like a job than fun.
Like mentioned, we see constant new features being spit out that I'm not even able to enjoy because I'm so stressed just trying to keep up with regular, daily gameplay.
Very frustrating for long time players.

Heavily support.  The fact that we don't already have the ability to check things like messages, news, and forums without having to roll over is ridiculous and needed to be implemented yesterday.

I am a cd artist so the problems with cd heavily frustrate me.  I've had multiple frustrating situations with the review "team", head artist, and modbox just flat out ignores cd inquiries.  To this day, a cd complaint I made months ago has been claimed but never answered.  Now I could keep going on this because it frustrates me so much but I'll just be repeating myself so here are the two main cd suggestion forums I've commented on: link and link

And while I don't have much to add to everything else, I agree with the suggested changes/improvements.

If there was a way to invest all my support into one idea and one idea only, it would be this. We're coming up on the third anniversary of WD, and crafting nesting material is still awful. I would love if they said "Hey so new updates are going to be kept to a bare minimum, event content isn't going to be new, but we're going to spend the next year doing major re-hauls, quality of life updates, and backburner ideas we haven't gotten around to." The same can be said for the sister site - I never thought I would say this, but I'm getting burnt out on new content. I'll spend weeks away from both sites, only returning for specific events I like.

And don't get me started on the overwhelming market saturation happening because of the constant lunar events. I never thought I could hate blue and purple so much.

Hello!

Per the Game Development Guidelines, please keep game suggestions to their own individual threads, rather than compiling multiple suggestions into one thread. This makes each suggestion easier for the developers to review, and keeps all responses to a particular thread about that one specific idea.

At this time we will lock this thread. You are welcome to re-post your suggestions to their own individual threads (though please be sure to review the Suggestion Compilation Master Post and use the Search to ensure you aren't suggesting something that has already been previously suggested.
