Developers usually look for suggestions to get some hints rather than completely player-based ideas. Some popular suggestions might feel neglected because they don't contain solutions that are acceptable for devs. Players in suggestion threads are experts in pointing out what's wrong with the game but suggesting good solutions to them is a real challenge. I very often see threads expressing valid issues but giving bad fixes to them. Or devs might be looking for instructions but none good are shown, just several pages of comments supporting ideas. It's important to set priorities in development. While some suggestions are taken to implement features, other must be postponed or neglected. I must agree I feel the priority is not right - there are unfinished features for years which I prefer to be done before expanding another event or new artwork. Maybe an issue is that there are not many players expressing in Game Development threads that some ideas are really good but there are other, more important things to do before. The community seems to be eager to get everything at once. I also agree that devs don't communicate very much with the community which otherwise I think would be the best for the development. If they cut the contact, the community can think about anything and when we think about anything, the most vocal of us might present the most pessimistic scenarios, that we're not listened, that we post so much for nothing, etc. Come on, we all - devs and community - speak the same language, let's talk! Btw on the side note, regarding the Suggestion Compilation Master Post linked in the OP - the post was not last updated in 2020, it was being updated until 2022 (the last edited date can be seen there when you hover over (edited) word at the top of the post). Nevertheless, it seemed that at that moment the post stopped being updated and it's been a year now. |

However, I always love new game play updates, way more than art update, and more transparency is always a good thing, so I absolutely agree with this suggestion - but maybe not the tone of it. |
