How do I change my avatar?

I'm either being dumb or something but like

Normally, make sure it's the correct size (check), then copy image address and paste it in. Now it's saying "Your tag must be a valid URL - make sure it starts with http:// or https:// and ends with an image format (e.g. .jpg, .png, .gif)."

Wot 'n tarnation am I doing wrong here folks?

Could you share the URL with us that you are trying to use? Seems like there's an error in it, perhaps upload the avatar image to imgur.com and then copy their URL?

Okay! So, it looks like the url is just in an incorrect format for image upload. I'll go ahead and give you a new direct link (from imgur.com) that will allow you to make this tag your avatar! 

For the future, this is how you can take a link like that and make it workable!

1. Save the image to your computer by right clicking and hitting "Save as"

2. Once the image is downloaded to your computer, go to an image hosting site such as imgur.com

3. On imgur, click new post and choose the art file from your computer.

4. The image will now be uploaded to imgur, where you can grab the new link!

5. Right click on the image and open it in a new tab, and tada! You have your new link in the search bar.
