Age: 22 Race: Nature Elf Title/rank: Princess of Tarrin Appearance: Aeliya has Long silky white hair flowing down to her waist. It's straight and often untied, as she was told "That makes it look prettier" basically all her life. Sometimes she adorns it with pretty flowers she grows using her powers. Aeliya has emerald green eyes that stand out against her pale features. Her skin is very light but she has freckles, a darker shade than her skin. Her mother told her they were ugly, so she covers them with makeup. Aeliya loves comfortable clothes, but only when she's in her bed is she the most comfortable. Her mother doesn't allow her to wear clothes that aren't over-extravagant, so she's quite used to acting like a doll. Everyone considers her the most pretty elf in the kingdom and she is taller than most girls, standing at 5 '6 (167cm). Personality: Her personality is not quite princess-like, as she is adventurous and loves the outdoors. Often she sits in a large library reading books about nature, and the outside of the kingdom's walls. Aeliya is smart, kind and respectful. Lately her nature powers have been becoming stronger and she makes little shows for the little kids growing small flowers for them. Her favourite place is in her bed, cuddling up with her blankets. It's her safe place, and whenever she isn't in a meeting, or reading in the library, she's reading in her bed. History: Aeliya was born to Edgar Eveth (M) and Lavender Darish, female (She didn't change her last name). She was born with a more heightened nature power, easily learning how to grow plants and heal when she was about the age of 7. At the age of 9 the Elven war happened, and they had attacked their kingdom. Her father, a general and a king, lost his arm in the battle. There had been no more major wars since then, and their kingdom flourished. She was tutored and wasn't allowed to go out to the market. As a kid she had no friends or pets, and she considered books her only friends, losing herself in their worlds. Others: She was to be wed 4 years ago and the age of 18 but played tricks on the princes that her parents chose for her, either scaring the princes away or framing them for something so bad they were immediately kicked out of their kingdom. Quite a troublemaker when she wanted to be. Family: Father: Edgar Eveth (age 48) Mother: Lavender Darish (age 46) Siblings: None Oh boy does mine pale to yours, you did a good job T^T |

The sun was already setting casting a radiant golden glow over the tall castle that stood alone in the deep forest. The castle was magnificent, built from stone and it had all kinds of different vines creeping up it's sandy walls. It seemed to have many floors and even multiple towers, it honestly was something one would expect to find in a fairytale book. It's yard has stoned paths and it even had a pond just next to it and some exotic flowers had been planted there, such as Hibiscus and other rarer flowers. The area seemed very peaceful and quiet, only few birds seemed to sing, but even they were far away. The forest line seemed to have dark mist close to the ground, it was almost like the mist was guarding that remote sanctuary. On the castle's yard, near the entrance there was a tall man. He was leaning on his cane and seemed to just look into the horizon as if thinking something deeply. He didn't wear crown or anything like that, but it was easy to tell that his clothes weren't just ordinary. His being seemed to almost represent the castle's loneliness as the man sighed. "Your Majesty, I come to bring message," a younger man spoke dropping on his knee on the ground. The figure, who had been addressed with such a high title, turned around slowly looking at the young man on the ground. "Speak, Camus," he said softly and the young man continued. "Your Majesty, we just received a letter from Tarrin. They said they want to offer one of their princesses to you for a marriage," Camus explained. Uldreyin frowned. An arranged marriage? To an elf? "Why? What they wish to gain?" He asked from Camus shifting slightly while still leaning against his cane. "In the letter they explained that they wanted nothing but peace and to unite the land, Sire," the young man replied making Uldreyin's eyes turn dark as anger seemed to radiate from him. "Haven't those elves done enough already!?" He growled lifting his hand to his face pinching the bridge of his nose. "Fine, send a response back to them stating that I will accept their offer, but be sure to wake them up from their unrealistic dreams: Danait will never become part of Tarrin," Uldreyin, the King of Danait gave his orders as he started slowly to limp back inside of the castle. He had no idea who this woman would be that they were offering for him, but he had to admit that he was curious. Of course not because he was lonely, he would never admit that, he just wanted to see how an elf would live in the the harsh conditions of his small homeland. |

She was being sold off! Aeliya stomped down the long hall, her thumping steps being muffled by the red carpet beneath her. Jeremy, her butler, was scurrying beside her to catch up, and she just ignored him. The walls of the hall were decorated with paintings of the long, long royal line, the wooden frames infused with gold. The yellow streaked through the grain of the wood, detailing the curves the pattern takes. Aeliya entered the dining room and the headspace increased drastically. It was a big room, decorated with the finest of things, as meetings, discussions and dinner all happened in this room. A large table sat in the middle of the room and her parents were both already seated. Aeliya reluctantly took a seat close to them, and the room was eerily silent, as if no one wanted to bring up that she was being sold off! Two chefs then entered the room holding large trays with a silver cloche placed on top. They hastily placed the trays down before lifting the covers, letting the smell waft into the air. The scent tried (and failed) to fill the large room as the royals took their share of the meal. A thought itched at Aeliya's mind, one that should be obvious to you. Who was she supposed to marry? Specifically, she wasn't being sold off for money, more like peace, which was in Aeliya's opinion, more useless than money! Really, her parents were wimps and were giving her to a random king as a dumb peace offering. You may as well just wave a white flag! Nevertheless, Aeliya was the white flag for this kingdom, and nothing would change. She was to be wedβ¦. Unless, she pulled out her old tricks and annoyed the old coot for so long he hates her and would never ever even think to lay a hand on her, let alone kiss her! But her curiosity got the best of her and she decided to crack the dreaded question that had kept the table quiet for so long. "Soooβ¦ Who do Iβ¦ Haveβ¦ To marry?" The queen, who was elegantly taking a sip of wine from her cup choked and the wine came out of her nose. Quickly she cleaned herself up, not paying attention to that little mishap and focusing on the question. "Well, the kind of Danait, Uldreyin. You should be grateful we didn't choose someone from a little baby kingdom, since there is barely anyone we haven't tried yet." Aeliya received a glare from the queen and she giggled. Then she remembered her circumstances and immediately the smile dropped from her face. Everyone then ate in silence, there now being no need to talk anymore. Aeliya finished her food quickly before hurrying out of the room towards her bedroom. Let's not forget Jeremy, as he was yet again scurrying behind Aeliya silently. They arrived at her room and Aeliya immediately jumped onto the bed lying down to think. And that she did. She thought about Uldreyin, Danait, the marriage, and plenty more. Eventually she drifted off to sleep and the next morning came. The last full day in her home. |

"To whom I'm dressing up for, pray to tell, Camus?" he asked from his bodyguard. "Well... I just thought that we Never know, if your bride will arrive earlier than expected, so I thought that you should be all dressed up and ready to receive her," the young man explained with a sheepish grin while Uldreyin almost growled. "And you indeed do have to remind me of her existence at every change you get?" he grumbled to his bodyguard, who straightened up to stand in attention. "But of course!" he joked while Uldreyin picked up a glass that still had some water in it and splashed him with the water. "Sometimes I wonder which part of yours works more efficiently; your legs or your mouth?" the king mused, but his lips hid a faint smirk that Camus had already caught. And that was the reason the man knew he could continue with his teasing, had Uldreyin truly became annoyed, he would have told him to stop and Camus would have listened to his order immediately. "What do you plan on doing today?" Camus asked as he handed Uldreyin his cane before the men left the king's tower. "I have no special plans. However, maybe I should prepare the room for her," he said turning to look away as they walked. He might not have wanted to admit it, but he didn't want his bride to feel like she was being held as a prisoner. He wanted to ensure that the room would be luxurious and she would have everything she would need and even more. He knew that many found his looks quite charming, though he also knew that his personality wasn't the easiest to deal with. "What colors are you planning on using for the room?" Camus asked curiously, however, that earned a smack to the bottom with a cane from Uldreyin's part. "Now that is none of your business. Hurry up and get back to work, I'm busy," Uldreyin said as Camus ran of the smirk on his face being so frightening that it made the other maids to immediately make way for him. Uldreyin descended a spiral staircase that had led to his chambers and walked to heavy double doors that hid a room just below the stairs. He opened one of the doors walking in. It was very spacious room with an amazing view over the land since they were still high above the ground. He looked at the sheets and the bed in general as well as the decoration of the room. Everything in this place was a reminder of how wrong things always went and the exact reason why the queen's chambers were still unoccupied. Sighing Uldreyin got to work tearing the sheets off from the bed. Everything would be changed, everything. |

Really, she didn't have many things that she wanted to bring with her, apart from seeds of flowers not native to Danait. It would be nice to bring some nature or Tarrin with her to grow and plant. Aeliya then thought about her power. Did Uldreyin have a power? Was it as strong as hers? She was the only elf in the kingdom of Tarrin known to be so proficient at magic. Her mind absently wandered as she packed the things in her room, such as her most comfortable and her most elegant clothes. Soon she couldn't think of anything else to bring with her, and 3 bags lay at her feet. Jeremy would be coming with her, as she didn't trust having a maid or butler from Danait. If she could go, Jeremy could go. Calling to him outside he rushed in and took her bags, holding them all. Then, she walked to the throne room to her parents, who sat in their seats. Aeliya looked up at them. "Goodbye mother, father." They didn't answer. Aeliya just turned and stomped off, Jeremy following after her clutching her bags. A carriage was outside of the castle, coaxing her to step in. It said "Come on, I look so comfortable, don't I~? Don't think about where I'll take you, just step in". Aeliya decided to obey and just got in the carriage. Look at her, listening to an inanimate object. Hours passed until the sun hung low in the sky. The forest had risen around them as they travelled further, casting shadows over the carriage. Aeliya's eyes were on her surroundings the whole time and soon she saw towers poking above the trees near where they were heading. What a big castle. Even though it was bigger than her own, it looked a lot more⦠drab. And dull. And grey. And sad. Why did it look so sad? Soon she was stood in front of the sad castle. The carriage was behind her and Jeremy was busying himself lifting her bags out of the back. A figure could be seen across the yard, walking towards them. He held a cane, and looked quite tall. He also looked sad, just like the castle. Who was it? Could it be an old servant, using a cane so he could still serve Uldreyin? Or was it Uldreyin himself? |

It was far past noon when Uldreyin had finally decided to take a break. It was mainly due to his manservant's concerns and persuading, but there was no chance he would ever admit that to anyone, not even to Camus himself. Rising up and leaving heavily against his cane, Uldreyin had walked to the private dining hall where he would get some lunch that his cooks had prepared. Even though Danait was rich country, the food in the castle wasn't that fancy and pompous nor had multiple courses. Uldreyin had never found pleasure in eating and as long as the food was edible and tasted good, he was fine with it. He had also given his chefs full permission to create whatever dishes they desired without having to worry about the costs of the ingredients. So once in a while the meal times, especially dinners turned out quite fancy occasions as the servants wanted to cheer their melancholy king up. "What are you planning on to do now? You have already finished with all the official paperwork you need to do. Honestly, Sire, you work far too efficiently," Camus teased him causing Uldreyin to scowl at him, though behind that there was an amused smirk on his face. "Oh I have no idea, was thinking that perhaps some painting would be nice," he said but just as he had finished his sentence, there was a hasty knock on the door. Uldreyin's head snapped to the door as he called, "Enter!". The door opened revealing one of his guards whose name he couldn't remember. However, it was one of the newest recruits. "Sire! This is bad! Some woman with a man has just invaded into the castle's yard! The guards said that they had moved past so fast that they hadn't had a chance to even react," the guard said. "What!?" Camus almost growled unsheathing his sword. Uldreyin, however, put his hand over the blade pushing it down gently almost like silently telling him to have patience. "Thank you," he said to the guard dismissing him. The young boy nodded and quickly ran out of the room. "We shall see what this is all about. I have a feeling that since it's a woman, it could be my bride, however, what is a man doing there with her?" Uldreyin said as he straightened his robes while Camus nodded. "My king, would you like to put on a coat?" the manservant asked looking at his master worriedly. Uldreyin nodded, he was feeling weak and cold again, it would be nice to have some extra warmth. The pair slowly made their way towards the yard Uldreyin leaning onto his cane heavily. "What are you going to do with that man who is with the lady?" Camus asked curiously. "There was no mentions that a man would be present when the correspondence was done between her parents and myself. I have never heard of an absurd tale of a princess having manservant, maids yes," Uldreyin said his eyes sharp and almost burning with coldness. For him the man was a threat. Who knew what they were planning, sneaking into his castle and killing them all for good? He would never allow that, he had already fought five years in the war against the very elves he would now be meeting. He still was anything but happy about the marriage, but if that woman was to became his wife, he sure had some expectations for her... Soon enough the pair arrived close enough for them to see clearly who had arrived. His gaze turned even harsher when he saw the woman. Yes, she was one of them... "I'd say welcome to the castle of Danait, but sadly I have not received any notice on your unexpected arrival," Uldreyin said looking at the princess and the man who was carrying her bags. "What do yo want and why have you not asked my guards to notify me upon your arrival? You possibly don't harbor any wicked plans... do you?" Uldreyin said as his dark eyes searched them both. When things happened suddenly and unannounced, it scared him and for a reason, the war had started with a sudden ambush after all. And sadly the king had been traumatized by it. He also didn't trust elves even a little, especially not in those who had arrived from Tarrin. Who knew, if this marriage was just a cover up story that the king of Tarrin had arranged to get rid of him for good? |

"It's hardly a day early, and we were to come eventually. For your 'guards' I have only one question⦠What guards? We have just arrived here and no one besides you have so far approached us. I'm afraid I can't inform the air that we've come, as it maybe, just probably, doesn't serve you." Aeliya had a lot to say about what Uldreyin just said, which surprised her. Maybe he wouldn't want a woman that talks back and would send her back in the carriage she came with. Aeliya's head was still held high as she glared right back at Uldreyin. She would not conform so easily to the king of Danait. |

"You sure have... rather interesting way of speaking to your fiancΓ©, don't you?" he stated coldly. "However, it would do you good to remember that I'm not forced to accept this proposal at all. Despite what you may have gotten used to at home, sadly, in here you are not a queen, princess," Uldreyin reminded her. He would let her attitude to pass for now, even though it hardly was a characteristic that he liked in a woman. 'You're just doing a favor for Tarrin. It's not like she will ever love you, so why even bother...' his thoughts reminded him about the sad fact of how the story was going to be. "So, you have so kindly introduced your guard to me, but where might your maid be?" Uldreyin asked looking at the carriage but couldn't see anymore people there. In his mind he was going through potential young ladies who could help out with the task. However, it was completely different thing would his fiancΓ© even accept a maid from Danait since she clearly didn't trust Danait's security by bringing her own guard. Or was he a lover? Uldreyin had no idea and to be honest, he didn't even want to find out. |
