1. always start with Red Red Green Green, then do blue yellow orange purple explanation on why: step 1 will help you gather information on whether there are any red and green pieces if you get 0 matches it means green and red are permanently eliminated dont guess with these colors anymore, having duplicate of a color is also fairly common so if theres 2 reds or 2 greens you can quickly find out step 2 helps you figure out if there are any duplicate colors other than red and green so you now know which one 2. It is harder to figure out if something is correct than it is to figure out if something is wrong, use the process of elimination to your advantage main goal is to eliminate colors that arent part of the code then figure out from there |

1. rrgg - 1 red -there are no duplicates of red or green -either red or green is not part of the code 2. byop - 3 red - there are no duplicates in the code - nothing is in the correct spot so shuffle up the positions in my next guess reasoning for next guess: one of the previous colors arent in the code, i know there are no duplicates so putting multiple wont interfere with my next guess, randomly pick p and b because i like those colors and i dont overlap with my previous guesses for their positions 3.ppbb - 2 whites - both blue and purple are part of the code - either orange or yellow arent in the code - purples in slot 1 or 2 - blue is in slot 3 or 4 reasoning for next guess: i now need to guess either yellow or orange, i know purples in slot 1 or 2 and blue is in 3 or 4 so i will keep 1 in each of their slots, guessing orange in the remaining slots as i need to eliminate either orange or yellow. 4.pobo - 2 red -orange isnt part of the code - purple is in slot 2, blue is in slot 4 -yellows in the code reason for next guess: ok i now know yellows in the code now i need to know where yellow goes and if red or green is in the code so i keep purple and blues positions and i just stick yellow and red in the 2 remaining slots 5.yprb -2 whites 1 red -red is not part of the code -by elimination yellow is in slot 3 -by elimination green is in slot 1 6. gpyb - 4 whites we win |

1. Always try to make a guess that has a chance to be a correct code, meaning make a combination that follows all the white/red dots. 2. When you need to set colors you haven't used before in at least 3 places, always set at least 2 new different colors (unless there's only 1 color left that you haven't used yet). |
