My lead is level 8 already, I'm trying to get to level 10 to get chased wolves. Or is focusing on buying wolves better? Or breeding to stud wolves? Related, should I just expand and keep my current non-pretty wolves since they already have some stat boosts and proficiencies or phase them out as I get wolves I like better? Thanks in advance! |

On the note of buying, be sure to check the giveaway threads, as there are definitely giveaways out there specifically aimed at new players like yourself ^^ Some of them offer high stat, mutation, or rarer wolves to new players (or even just to players in general). One tip I should mention when it comes to your lead, be sure to assign their talents! If you don't know about them (wouldn't surprise me since there's no tutorial on them), they are extremely handy for a number of things, including befriending, fighting, breeding, or even increasing your pack's size (there are two that give +10 to your pack size!). Some of them I think might be locked behind level 10/15 (not 100% sure on that), but most of them are just locked behind their trees (most of those are the fighting and befriending trees), which are grouped together. One thing to keep in mind, if you select the two (or just the first one) that increases your pack size, you can't reset your talents if you have more wolves than your limit would be without said talents (which is stupid and I really hope they come up with a fix for this). It costs 100 SC to reset them, or at least the first time you do (I believe it's GC after that, or GC if it's the same week as the last time you reset). Expanding your pack size I think should be a bit of a priority, looking at your pack, as you'll need an herbalist and you'll probably want a full hunting party (5 wolves); I might recommend swapping one of your scouts into being an herbalist ASAP, as keeping your wolves free from illness is very important (your hunters will frequently get the Open Wound or other illnesses, and it's better to be able to make the cures yourself than rely on buying them from others). |

Good ways to get pretty, high-stat pups - Adopt them in this forum; there are a lot of pup giveaway threads - Adopt them from the Enclave (but looking through all the pups takes a lot of time) - Buy them from the TC (use search filters!!) - If you're fond of any of your current wolves, breed them to studs you like! (Check out the stud in Wardrobe so you're sure you like their marks.) Some other tips - WD is all about having fun! Don't keep wolves that don't make you happy :) - Before getting any new wolves, make sure you have the resources (food, amusement, pupsitters) to take care of them! Too quickly expanding your pack is a mistake that a lot of new players make. - If you want good stats, make sure all of your wolves perform a role (e.g. chaser, scout) regularly! What I did: - Adopt a lot of wolves, level them up, and breed them. (Ex: These wolves were all adopted or bought) - Befriend & buy some cheaper NBWs later on and level them up (Ex: These wolves were all befriended or bought) Hope these tips help! Feel free to reach out with any questions, and have fun |
