I'm thinking about using this wolf as my next stud.  Badger NBW with dark hazel eyes.



This is my favorite design I've come up with for him so far:


My main question is if Badger is a desirable base or should I hold out for a T3 that has a rarer base, or change this wolf to caribou once I have all of the ingredients for the recipe?  Open to any feedback or suggestions. 		Ghostmoon

I don't feel that the badger-base is as desirable as a lot of the other tier-three bases. This was a big concern of mine as well when it came to my breeding male. However, it was the only base that I felt comfortable purchasing, and acquiring all the trophies for the fox/caribou recipes felt like such an uncertain wait. If you're close to the caribou base, I would go for it. If not, it might not be a deal-breaker for most people. My breeding male is a badger base, also with patches and special eyes, and I've had quite a bit of luck with requests. While my stud is also a carrier for hereditary cataracts, I don't think that's what's causing most of his draw. Plus your boy has more rare marks. You have a good design, so I think either option you decide on will attract attention.

Thanks for the feedback, that's kind of what I was worried about.  Good to know that you're still having success with your stud though!  I'm working towards the caribou base and have more than half of the ingredients.  I might have him start as a badger stud and then change him to caribou or even a T* base if I'm not getting many requests.
