What to do when Melvin asks for a task you can't complete?

Okay so, I originally joined Wolvden back when it first opened to the public and I'm currently trying to get back in to playing it regularly again after a couple years.

A new game greeted me in the arcade, some gameplay changes, and a little mouse.

Today, I made the mistake of not checking Melvin to see if I could shuffle before I checked my hunts and leveled one of my wolves up(which was one of my tasks apparently). He wants me to complete an enclave puppy quest, but there are no puppies in my pack at all; only adolescents. My adolescents weren't puppies the previous rollover, either. There is no way for me to complete this task right now as pregnancies take a few rollovers. Is there anything I can do about this? Or am I just going to have to grit my teeth, break my streak and wish I could add him to my food hoard? 		Lichten

There's no need to break your streak. When Melvin (or the snake) tells me to do an Enclave quest, I go get a request from Mother Bear and then just zip over to the TC and buy a puppy that fits one of the options (there will be 3). When searching, I set the age to under 6 months and the price to under 25sc. That way I don't spend too much and I know the pup won't be too old. I also keep a toy handy in my inventory to force a quest switch from Mother Bear if I can't find a puppy for any of the 3 options.

I dont normally spend time breeding so I dont visit the enclave unless I wanna look at the pups. I didn't know that the pup didn't have to be from your pack, let alone that this was something people didnt mind? Learn something new every day. Thanks again! 		Lichten
