Saga, the Charming, the Moon. 

The believed deity that gave the Alpha her six lives. Saga was said to be the first to howl to the moon, thus every full moon the pack meet under the star light to sing to her. The desert is her home, allowing her to shine bright there. She guides the Alpha on her journey, giving secrets in the world around the wolf that serves her. The silver fox and fog are her symbols, letting the pack know of her presents. Wolves touched with white coats or albinism are said to be her reincarnations.

Mookia, the Helpful, the Stars.

The believed deity that gives the Herbalist her knowledge. Mookia was said to be the first to blend the healing salve to give to Saga, the Moon. She served as her Herbalist until she passed, being placed in the stars by the Moon. She blesses the Herbalist with her knowledge of herbs and plant life, along with the understanding of Saga and her omens. Mookia, being the closes to Saga, shares her pair bond. Her symbols are the cross fox, ravens and the first spring shed of petals.

Sashan, the Optimistic, the Earth.

The believed deity of the Earth, giving strength to the pupsitters. Sashan was said to have given birth to the first set of mortal pups of Leokon's, before giving her life to allow them to grow and survive. She became the soil, plants and deer for her young. She loved Mookia and Saga, but Leokon's grasp on her was harsh. She did not mate with him ever again, leaving him alone to wander the landscape. Her symbols are purple and blue flowers, morning dew and rabbits.

Leokon, the Vulgar, the Sun.

The believed deity of the hunter & the scout, giving them skill and speed. Leokon was said to be a villainous creature with the taste for blood, murdering anything in his path. He is the king of heat, of lust, and hatred. He is the lover of Sashan, the Earth; twin flame to the Moon, Saga, and the enemy of the Stars, Mookia. His symbols are the red fox, bones, sand, blood and red flowers.

Alpha

1. Saga blesses the Alpha with her six lives and gives her guidance of the lands.
2. Saga, being the first to howl to the moon, is prayed to on full moons by the pack singing to her. This is called the Song of the Moon.
3. Wolves with completely white coats & no markings or with albinism are reincarnations of Saga and held at their own rank. They are worshipped and treated before the pack. Saga will speak through these wolves only to the Alpha or the Herbalist.
4. The Alpha is often gifted omens, dreams and memories of Saga and her legacy.
5. The Alpha must make the trek to the desert to to be blessed by Saga, and sit through a full moon vigil. 
6. The Sagashi must venture to the desert with the Alpha their first birthday to become one with the Moon for a full moon, if born within the pack.

Herbalist

1. Mookia blesses the Herbalist with her knowledge of herbs, animals, omens and stars.
2. Mookia allows the Herbalist to understand these symbols and can speak to Starpack.
3. The Herbalist must come home from their mountain new moon vigil to produce the healing salve of the Stars to become a full-fledged Herbalist.
4. Each spring, the Herbalist will bring a sacrificed prey to the mountain on a new moon to honor Mookia.
5. Wolves of all completely black fur, & no markings or melanism are reincarnations of Mookia and are held at their own rank. They are worshipped and treated before the pack. Mookia speaks through these wolves only to the Alpha and the Herbalist. 
6. Only the Herbalist can speak directly to Starpack.
7. The Mookian must travel to the mountains with the Herbalist their first birthday to become one with the Stars for a new moon, if born within the pack.

Hunters & Scouts

1. Leokon, the Sun, blesses the Hunter & the Scout with his skills.
2. Leokon only speaks to the lead Hunter.
3. The Hunter & Scout must make their vigil on the hottest day of the year in the desert to gain their strength and skill, once they graduate their apprenticeship. 
4. Wolves with heterochromatic eyes or fox bases are said to be the reincarnation of Leokon, the Sun. Leokon may speak through these wolves.
5. The Leokie must travel to the desert on in the hottest of summer to become one with the Sun, if born within the pack.

Pupsitters

1. Sashan blessed the Pupsitters with strength, stamina, love and affections.
2. Sashan is always thanked for her work when pups are born.
3. The an apprentice Pupsitter must spend a night in the forest alone after their first litter to become a full-fledged Pupsitter.
4. Wolves with merle marking and lavender bases or eyes are considered the reincarnation of Sashan. Sashan will only speak through these wolves.
5. Sashan will only speak to the lead Pupsitter.
6. The Sashie must travel into the forest in spring on a full moon to become one with the Earth, if born within the pack.

High Ranks

• Alpha - The main force behind the pack's movements, breeding, hunting and more. Often female, but not always, the she-wolf will command her Pack.
• Beta - Secondary in command and will take over the place over the leader when they pass / leave / retire. Picked out by the Alpha.
• Herbalist - Primary communicator with the Starpack and healer.
• Lead Pupsitter - The leading force behind the growth of the pups and who gets to become Pupsitter. They may have one litter, before giving their life to taking care of young within the pack.

The Blessed

• Saga's Reincarnation / Sagashi - White or albinism wolves that are said to be reincarnations of the deity Saga, The Moon. Saga will only speak through these wolves to the Alpha or Herbalist.
• Mookia's Reincarnation / Mookian - Black or melanism wolves that are said to be the reincarnation of the deity Mookia, The Stars. Mookia will only speak through these wolves to the Alpha or Herbalist.
• Sashan's Reincarnation / Sashie - Wolves with merle markings and lavender eyes or bases are said to be the reincarnation of the deity Sashan, the Earth. Sashan will only speak through these wolves.
• Leokon's Reincarnation / Leokie - Wolves with fox bases or heterochromatic eyes are said to be the reincarnation of the deity Leokon, the Sun. Leokon will only speak through these wolves.

Adults

• Storytellers - Old members of the Pack who no longer can hunt, fight or scout. Often rare and treated with respect. They are found telling the apprentices and pups of grand times, and speak with the Herbalist about Starpack's signs. They work side by side with the pupsitters to keep the pups entertained.
  
• King - Only breeding male. The stud may be a hunter or scout along side his role as a king, but can not be a pupsitter.
• Queen - Main breeding female. The she-wolf may be a hunter or scout along side her role as a queen, but can not be a pupsitter.
• Pupsitters - This position manages the livelihood of the pups within the Pack, taking care of their basic needs.
• Hunters - This position requires a great deal of teamwork and communication, consisting of three main parts. They feed the Pack and are the main rank within the Pack. Betas, Kings, and Queens are all welcome to this position when it is needed.

• Scout - This position requires speed and stamina. These wolves are often lean and quick on their feet. They will survey an area before the Pack moves.

Youth

• Herbalist Apprentice - Young wolf that is practicing to become an Herbalist, under the supervision of the current Herbalist.
• Heir / Heiress - Future Kings and Queens picked out by the Alpha for their markings, strengths, character and charm.
• Pupsitter Apprentice - A young wolf that practices under a current Pupsitter or Storyteller. They are often willing to play, or want to have pups. Under this apprenticeship, when reaching adulthood, they may have 1 (one) litter before becoming a full-fledged Pupsitter, if they chose.
• Hunter Apprentice - Young wolves working under current hunters to become a part of the working system of hunting.
• Scout Apprentice - These young wolves work under the watchful eyes of a Scout to learn to become quick surveyors. 

1. Defend your Pack, even with your life. You may have friendships with wolves from other Packs, but your loyalty must remain to your Pack, as one day you may meet them in battle. 
2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Pack's territory. 
3. The following is the pecking order: Sagashi, Alpha, Beta, Herbalist, Storytellers / Pupsitters, and then all others. Injured wolves may eat with the Herbalist.
4. Prey is killed only to be eaten, not for sport.
5.  A pup must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
6. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing wolves.
7. No warrior can neglect a pup in pain or danger, even if the pup is from a different Pack.
8. The word of the Alpha is the Pack rules.
9. No King or Queen may ever be a Pupsitter, but any other position within the Pack.
10. An honorable wolf does not need to kill other wolves to win their battles, unless they are outside the Pack code or if it is necessary for self-defense. 
11. No one can mate with the Sagashi, Mookian, Sashie, or Leokie within the Pack.

These wolves are the Blessed. They can not be mated with.

The First Mookian, the Neutral.

Found wandering the plains, Vixen met the Mookian in a silent bow. The Stars spoke to her, "You have been given a guide, my child. May the Stars shine for you."

The First Leokie, the Fair.

Born from Wilde, the Helpful, The Hunter, this wolf is the first Leokie from within the Valorous pack. The pregnant mother came to the pack, looking for a home and was accepted in by Vixen's gut feeling. She would birth four pups, which only two would survive. Touched by Leokon, his is the reincarnation of the Sun.

The First Sashie, the Observant.

These are the high ranking wolves of the pack, excluding youth.

Vixen, the Humble, the Alpha.

Born of clay and wind, Vixen was created. Saga is said to have birthed her between her union with Mookia. Giving her last breath before vanishing, she gave her pup the words of Saga's legacy and grace. Vixen was given six lives, losing her first one that night. She would lose three more before her pack into creation. Vixen does not remember her beginnings, only realizing she was alive after meeting Somo, her first mate.

Somo, the Keen, the Beta.

A loner with no home, Somo was gifted with Vixen one stormy night. The red wolf came to him with sweet words and stories. He was told of Saga & Mookia, the Moon & Stars. He soaked in every word, following her every pawstep. He is a beloved acolyte of the guardians of the sky and will take her place when she passes, if not her heirs.

Tigera, the Amiable, the King.

This pleasant wolf is Tigera, the breeding stud of the Valorous Pack. He comes from the desert, showing up on one of Vixen's many journeys to see her mother. Believed to be a gift to her pack with his vivid coat, Vixen allowed Tigera in without hesitation. This wolf is a kind soul, sharing a heart with Mookia.

Saffo, the Stoic, the Queen Herbalist.

Saffo is the Herbalist of the Valorous Pack, showing up in the moon lit hours of a winter night. Her black throat and raven eyes are signs of Mookia. The she-wolf was given her position without hesitation, proving her skills with producing the healing salve of the Stars in the first attempt.

Libra, the Fair, the Lead Pupsitter.

Adopted sister of Vixen, Libra found her way to the pack by the song of the Moon. She gave birth to the first litter of pups with Tigera, before giving her life to care of them. She began to first Pupsitter, establishing the position.

Shosho, the Capable, the Lead Hunter.

Found wandering the forest, Shosho brought into the Valorous Pack to become a hunter. His vigil was successful, and he became a proud hunter. His teacher, Silver, taught him everything he knows. He is quiet and often very shy.

The following wolves are youth to become high ranking within the pack.

Lilia, the Aloof, The Heiress.

This young female was born between Somo and Vixen, as the first pup of the pack. She follows in her mother's pawprints to become an Alpha. 

These wolves have died in their late age. Only high ranking wolves will be listed. Their death time will be listed.

Prologue: Saga & Mookia, Leokon & Sashan

In the moonlight of the desert, a being took the form of a wolf. She coat was white and luminescent as the moon, for she was the Moon. She called herself Saga, as she would carry on the passage of wolves in this realm. Lonesome in her new home, she created the Stars, Mookia and took her as her mate. The two were pair bonded for a lifetime, until Mookia would pass to sparkle across the night sky.

In the daylight of the desert, a being took the form of a wolf. His coat was orange and white, fox-like and bright, for he was the Sun. He called himself Leokon, king hunter of the realm. He made himself a lover, Sashan, the Earth. Together, they would have the first mortal wolves of the realm, before Sashan devoted her life to them, becoming the Earth.

The creation of the Sun and Moon happened together, the story goes. The winds picked up across the barren landscape and folded over and over until the two wolves were created. Leokon was the first to step foot on the ground, lighting up the sky with a dazzling flare. Saga was the next to touch the soil, bring a cooling reflection to the sun. The two wolves spoke for a moment.

"Ah, Saga. We meet again. I will take the morning, and you will take the evening. I will salvage the land for what it's worth and take everything insight."

"Ah, Leokon. We meet again. I will take the evening, and you will take the morning. I will lead the creatures to the next life."

"As you wish, my love. For will you ever be mine?"

"No, Leokon. I have the Stars to light my way," Saga howled at the night sky. 

Leokon lashed out at Saga. "Be my bride, or I will kill you!" He bit into her side. She cried out in pain, her blood spilling onto the ground.  A wolf took form from this, all black with orange eyes. It was the Stars, Mookia.

"Never, you wretched beast! You will never have me!" She turned away, and ran from the Sun with her new love.

"I will take the Earth as my bride then." Leokon dipped his head down, taking a mouth full of dirt to fling into the air. A wolf took form, lavender and speckled. She looked around shyly, confused. "I will call you Sashan," the fox wolf spoke. He placed his nose to hers and smiled.

Sashan bowed her head to her master before they celebrated their love. Four pups were born, only to die within moments. In agony, Sashan spoke, "I will not do this, my love. I must become the protector of these pups." She fled, becoming one with the Earth.

With a lone howl, Leokon closed his eyes and laid down to vanish into bright light.

Away from the drama of the two, Mookia produced herbs to mend Saga's wounds. She mixed dandelions and charcoal into a healing salve, wiping it across Saga's bleeding cut. The wound healed with a glimmering light and the scar was gone. "You have healed me, my Stars. For that, I will make you my Herbalist, my healer." Mookia smiled softly, before spending the rest of her life with Saga.

In her late age, Mookia spoke to the Moon. "My love, I will pass soon. I can not walk this realm with you any long. My body is made of flesh and blood unlike yours of light and wind."

Saga nodded before whispering into her ear, "I will make you the stars in the sky. Close your eyes, my sweet."

Mookia did as she was told. Her body turned into light and became to hover. Saga's eyes glowed violently, watching the bits of light scatter across the night sky. The Stars had been placed by the Moon to always be there for her.

The white wolf cried out at the loss, before heading to the desert she was born in. She gathered sand in her paws and blew it out of them. The form of a small red, brown and white wolf took shape. "I will name you Vixen of the Valorous. Humble, but courageous. My little one, I will give you six lives, each a symbol of your virtues. May no vice ever come between you and I, for we are one of the same."

The wiggling mess was left in the sand. Her first life taken from her that night. She would come to realize she was alive soon enough.

Generation One: Vixen's Uplifting Reign

Born of clay and wind, Vixen came to be under the full moon to her mother, Saga. Given six lives, she would loss the first on that night in the cold of the desert. Three more were lost as she scrambled out of the landscape. Memories of Saga flashed through her mind in this time. Each death brought more memories and feelings.

One evening, the young wolf meet another. He called himself Somo. He was gorgeous with white eyebrows and a black half mask. He listened to her memories and those of her mother. She told grand stories of the dual between the Sun and Moon, how the Stars came to be along side the Earth. Somo quickly fell in love with ever word she said. He told her he would be her Beta if she would choose to be his Alpha. The two would mate for the first time to bear life to their pup, Lilia. 

They would meet the following; Tigera, Libra, Saffo, Silver, and Mookian
