Amethyst dug even though it left and aching pain like her claws would fall off, and soon enough she reached some nice soft fun to dig dsirt. Amethyst began digging with her front paws before her whole body was in. Amethyst was luck no humans saw and she gently crawled out of her newly dug tunnel. SHe walked up to a clear stone (glass) door and frowned How am I gonna get out now- Amethyst thought pacing until the door just opened. Amethyst was shocked and scared but ran through as quickly as she could, and soon she was back in the room full of whining, barking, howling, and suffering.
Shuichi tugged down on the handle, gently creeping inside before closing it by nudging it. He'd look at the hole, before leaning down and speaking. "Hello..? Is uh- Anyone there?" He'd ask quietly, keeping watch of the door just in case some human finally noticed he was missing from his domain. He looked through the hole with his yellow eyes, carefully staring through to see if anything was there in the first place.
Responding to Trustar, hickory replied, "My name..well it's Hickory." Although she still felt somewhat hesitant about speaking to the others in this place, it felt nice to know she wasn't alone in the situation. After a while she plopped down inside of her cage, deciding to rest for a while before squeezing her head to peek through the cage bars and taking note of the canine who seemed to have dug a hole. She also noticed another mutated-looking canine observing the white canine but decided to say nothing to them, not yet at least. Hickory watched the canine run through the hole, getting a peek of hope that quickly faded when she saw the white canine return to her starting point. "now what.." , she grumbled to herself.
Shuichi tuned in, taking note of that fact for later. He narrowed his eyes at her, quickly analyzing her. Heavily damaged eye, and mainly white. He nodded, before leaving the mostly-white dog alone, and leaving the door open. He'd then walk to Hickory, opening the door to her cage and speaking.
"Mind if I come in? I just want to take a quick head count."
Hickory gave a low growl as she saw the Canine approach and open her door, she sniffed and observed him before deciding that his intentions didn't seem like unfriendly ones, so with a slow nod of her head, hickory responded in a quiet tone. "Alright.., you can come in."
Shuichi walked in, taking note of each canine. Two wolves, one blind in one eye and the other seems to only be able to use three legs. Noted. "..Alright. Thanks. I'm Saihara by the way. Or Shuichi if you'd rather say that." He murmured to Hickory, before running back to his own cage.
"Well, Fancy meeting you Shuichi, im Hickory!". She called out to the scurrying canine, before plopping back down in her cage, brainstorming ideas as to how she could possibly escape this place. As night fell she noticed the sounds of other canines getting more quiet. "I have to do something.." She murmured to herself before letting out a growl when she heard footsteps nearing her cage. But, before she had time to react, she felt a hot sting in her shoulder and everything went black.
natsu blinked slowly yet surely adjusting, one human in particular started hanging out in the room more often, he didn't understand what they were saying but it was clear by their softer tone they meant no harm, the fox slowly adjusted to the human being near as he watched the new canines get brought in and out, but this human stayed. it confused him why the human chose to be in the room just talking even though he never understood. the human dropped him something and soon left, he was dreadfully confused but decided not to waste his time pondering, but instead started to think about how to get out of here.
Amethyst Poked her head out of her tunnel once that four eye dog left, She noticed she had been in her tunnel for a while because the lights had dimmed and her eyes were glowing brighter than she'd like. She slowly crept out as she stalked over to the kennels she was mainly invisible due to her piebald but some of her was still visible. Her quiet stalking led her to see that the other's had found a way to open cages. "Grey fox!" She whispered to Natsu as she crept to his cage
he looked over at amethyst "Oh hello." he nodded his head respectfully, he was a lot calmer when everything was darker and a lot quieter, he sat down wishing he was back in the cool forest where the breeze would ruffle his fur and he could run endlessly chasing a squirrel in a tree, he missed the way water thundered down from a beautiful waterfall. but he had to adapt and overcome. this was his new life his new way, and he would fight to figure it all out.
