Let Us Scry Regardless of Age! (maybe gender too?)

Let Us Scry Regardless of Age! (maybe gender too?)

okay last one from me for a bit

When I'm looking for a new pup to buy, specifically a female to add to my breeding females, I want to see how she'd be with my breeding male. I don't want to spend tons of GC/SC on a pup that on her own is stunning, but paired with my male, makes not so stunning babies. I'll admit I was very disappointed when I found I couldn't scry a pup/adolescent, just because of their age. I personally don't see why this is a thing. Yes, of course it makes sense to not be able to actually breed them because they are not yet of age. But why can't I see how they'd pair with my male? I'm paying for it anyways, I should be able to scry with whatever wolf I'd want. It can help me decide if I'm keeping a pup I had or if I'm going to buy one I'm eyeing in the trading center, instead of buying it, they come of age, and I finally am able to scry them and find out they make ugly babies.

At the same time, I think it'd be nice to scry regardless of gender. I can find a gorgeous male pup who I'm considering to make a female to use as a breeding female, but before I spend the money on buying the pup, and then spending the GC to turn him female, I want to make sure the designs would make equally gorgeous babies. Again, like above, you're not actually breeding them. It's just seeing how the two designs would go together and what designs you'd get out of them.

pleeease this! Both age and sex shouldn't be a factor when the pups will eventually age up and since sex is so easily changed in this game!!

I’ve also run into that roadblock! Since it is just a preview of what could be, there’s no reason why pups/adols can’t be used. Regardless of sex is also a good point for the reasons noted.

Yes, support! I was really frustrated at seeing this, having to wait so darn long to be able to just scry pups is a bit annoying. I have a newborn i’d Like to start using to breed in zircon marks, and I found a stud with the right marking slot, and it sucks I can’t see how they’ll mesh together not just for zircon but also for good looking pups for several weeks.

YES PLEASE sometimes I want to scry with potential mates to decide who of my pups to keep and not to keep, the age limitation is infuriating. Pleassssssse. Fully support.

I agree, but I think the wolves should at least be adolescents to do a scry. Since you can use an Aging Crystal on adols and not pups it would make more sense for scrys to be adols/adults only.

Absolute support, I've had a problem with this already and it's really annoying! Just let me use the damn SC sink already :">

In response to Ice's suggestion, I'd still rather not wait 12 days to be able to scry them. In my opinion, pups are easier to sell, as if the player purchasing them needs to make more space for them, they have more time to create space to accommodate them as adults. Having to wait until my pups age to adolescents, finding out they don't make a good pairing with my male, and then trying to sell them still is not all that appealing to me and may make for a more difficult time selling them. Now I will say, as perhaps a compromise, we could have to wait until the pups are weaned and are able to be sold. But even then, I don't see the point. We're not actually breeding them, we're just seeing what the designs put together would make. If I'm spending SC, no matter how little, on scrying two wolves, I should not be restricted on age or gender when there's no purpose behind it. You're just looking at the possible designs

Agreed - I tried to scry an adolescent earlier and I was pretty surprised when it didn't let me.  It's an SC sink, let us use it as much as we want!  And yeah, it's a good point that people may want to scry pups before buying them etc.

I support! It was so frustrating when I tried seeing what one of my adols pup's would look like paired to my breeding male. They're not actually being bred, it's just a small preview of what could be, so I don't see an issue with scrying pups/adols. It would make things a lot easier!
