Allow the Player to Choose the Opacity when Using a Marking Applicator

Going to play devil's advocate here: Honestly, the opacity changer is only 1 GC. I think having a few items that are that cheap is good, as it gives you some options to spend your small amounts of GC. And making the marking applicator randomized encourages more purchases for that Opacity changer. There are some markings I added this way where, I actually ended up liking the opacity I got more than what I had planned! So it adds an element of randomness to the game which I like. Then if you don't like it, it's only 1 GC to change it exactly how you want. |

I'm glad I saw this thread. Now I know not to waste my gold on marking applicators. At least on lioden opacity changers can be had for silver. I know the devs need to make money, but seriously? |

@Nestly I get where you're coming from, but if there's a challenge I want it to be through gameplay, not through the premium currency. From my view, It's not "hard" to get what you want with marking apps, it's just expensive yk? 1 GC is a lot for some ppl, especially if they've just forked over 5! the marking opac changers def still have a use- changing opac on bred & chased markings- & in my mind breeding nice wolves is where the challenge (& randomness) is-- that's where you don't automatically get what you want, you breed for sometimes multiple generations for it! But the point of a premium currency marking app. IS to just press a button & get what you want automatically yk? It seems weird to wall that off between 2 different applicators. |

100% support for the reasons above. I want a challenge with this game absolutely, but not being able to choose opacity on a marking I just spent 5GC to add seems pretty... idk, currency-grabby? |

full support. i don't want to have to spend more gc to fix an opacity when i already bought a marking applicator. it feels like such an arbitrary hurdle to add. yeah, maybe opacity changers are only 1 gc- but that doesn't change the fact that i've already spent 5 gc to apply a marking with no guarantee that it'll be the opacity i actually want. and hell, what if i want the opacity to be below 50%? |

This needs to be implemented. Either make it cheaper to buy or allow opacity to be chosen with the use of the item. To pay 5GC and then have to purchase another item just to get the desired opacity is redundant and expensive... |

Support! This is particularly important since so many people spend real money on GC--they purchase some kind of item to add markings and then need to buy the opacity, too? Perhaps if you buy 3 marking applicators, you can get 1 free. |

That still leaves the barely visible (under 9%) and strongly visible (over 90%) markings to the opacity changer, without being terrible. I find that even when I fuss over percentages for hours, if the marking is within those tolerance levels on puppies or through the applicator, I don't bother changing them because it's an extra hassle. At the very, very least, I would like the option to pick low opacity vs high, ie 10-50% and 51-90%, because the vast majority of my designs include markings under 50%. Markings at 25-49% are still very much visible, and 10-25% is still useful for designing and layering aesthetically pleasing or realistic looking wolves. |
