My idea is simple! Our Early Access badges and any other badges (eg Beta Tester) are hidden away on our profile and you have to go looking to find them, but it could be really cool if they appeared under our display pictures on the chatter forum. :D |

Hmm... depends on what they intend to do with the badge system. Right now it's just for admins/mods/EA/Beta, which over time there'll be more and more people who are none of those and the default assumption would be that people with badges have authority, which EA/Beta people don't any more than other old players. If badges will be something you can earn through regular gameplay in the future, then it would be nice to put them in Chatter, but otherwise I really wouldn't want to be mistaken for staff. Or have people asking me how to get the bear icon (even if it's hoverable like on the profile, not everyone will hover). |

Yeah you're right I think if you could hover over them and it would tell you what it was for, just like on our profiles, it could be good and if anymore came out for things like special xmas events or something, it could be cute! :D HEY FELLOW WHITETAIL :D |

I like this idea! It's pretty hard to know when someone has a badge when you have to go to their den. |

I feel it would be weird to point out these badges. To have them on each chatter post is to imply some significance to them, which there isn't really. EA and Beta players are like any other player and to point out that they are, in fact, EA or Beta players on posts much like admins could definitely imply that they matter more or have more power than the average player. If there was some change where badges were reworked and everyone could collect random ones, then maybe my opinion would change. But if it's just showing off that someone joined the site in testing or paid to get in early, I wouldn't be thrilled about that. And I promise I'm not saying that because I don't have badges like the rest of you - I would find it weird to shine a spotlight on it even if I did have one. They show on someone's page, so it's already acknowledged. And I'm glad it is acknowledged, those badges show they supported the site in some way. I just think it's fine as it is - neither hidden nor blatant. |

I understand your point and the points above about not wanting to look like an admin, and if there's no other badges coming out then, yeah, its a bit pointless. But back then little ol' me was hopeful and optamistic that this game would get a lot more updates than it has been getting. |

And I get you, I've felt the same way over the last couple years. I suppose we'll see what happens, maybe they might consider something similat to this after all someday. |
