Confirmation before posting a public trade

A few times I have set up trades that were meant to be private trades as public trades. I almost lost a lot of stuff I owed other users. To help with this I would be interested in seeing a confirmation message that pops up before you set up a public trade that says something are the lines of “Are you sure you want to make this trade PUBLIC?” you can click “Yes” if it was intentional or “No” if it was unintentional. I would also be interested in a toggle button that allows you to turn on or off the confirmation message since that might be annoying to some users.

I'd definitely find an extra confirmation annoying, but if it was optional that's fine.

I support this, but also love the idea of 'Create Private Trade' from a users profile

I would only support this if we could have it toggled off. It would be super annoying to confirm twice to put the trade up.

I'd suggest something more like this instead:

To create a private trade, tick a box?

I'm forever terrified that the number I paste into the private trade box won't work and it'll go public D: So, whatever it is... I'd like something to stop the fear of doing it wrong, for sure!

Adding a secondary confirmation would bog down the experience of doing a normal trade and I think is a step towards clunkier usability. It would be nice to have a different route entirely to take for private trades instead such as the one in this thread here.

This would make it easier to trade with people you interact with on the forums and also with your friends. With the added security of being certain you have the right person rather than potentially typing in the wrong number.
