DailyCone Game to Generate SC

DailyCone Game to Generate SC
Posted 2020-11-03 14:40:39

I just copy/pasted the template but ..here we go!

Hi devs!

Today, I had this idea.

I will explain the idea here. In my explanation, I describe what my idea will change or add to the game.

I had this idea because I realised that there has been difficulty for many users (new or less-new) to generate SC in the game, and I feel my idea will fix this concern because of a daily-stacking-game to implement. The game, in essence, would be a one-stop "daily" type, where the user has the option to click 1 of 3 static images. Each image is given a SC value at random (1, 5, 10). Upon successfully maintaining daily streaks, the user can "stack" the [SC value] X [Streak Count] for a set duration. Whether this  duration resets/ends after say 1 week or 1 month (like daily rollover values) - the user can in essence, earn substantial SC without "breaking the economy."

Alternatively, I had this idea because I realised my idea will add something special to the game to help achieve a more sustainable economy balance (SC:GC).

In order for my idea to get added to the game, I think the following will be required from the devs: artwork (game 'host' + cone art), coding (random roll for SC value + formula to implement; weekly or bi-weekly user-streak reset), minimal writing to explain the game.

Thank you for considering my suggestion!

In essence, I can't explain this well without a formula..haha.

[DayStreak] x [ConeValue] = SC Earned

Example:  Cone 1,  Cone 2,  Cone 3 (static image art to click)

Day 1: Upon clicking Cone 1, user receives a SC value rolled at random (1, 5, 10) -- say 1SC for this example

1[days] x clicked Cone [1SC] = 1 SC received.

Day 2: User clicks Cone 2, receives SC Value 5 [multiplier = daily streak] In this instance 2.

2[days] x clicked Cone [5SC] = 10 SC received.

Day 3: User Clicks Cone 1, receives SC Value 10 [multiplier = 3, for having stacked a Cone Streak of 3 days]

3[days] x clicked Cone [10SC] = 30 SC received.

After 7-14 days, the "cone streak" resets to 0, and the user has to maintain their streak all over again.

This sounds very similar to a fantasy canine sim's 'game' that I really never saw the point of. We get RO rewards passively each day and quite a few of them are SC. Why have another daily engagement bonus to generate SC?

I agree with the general idea of some games to generate SC, but this one isn't the best idea in my opinion. It involves too little user action for a reward that generates SC. And the more actions that generate SC the less SC is worth to the economy as a whole. While it seems harsh, you have to consider that more SC should come with more time spent on site functions or you risk devaluing it in the long run which would require yet more SC to be handed out easily for newer/more casual players.

As it stands now as an EA player, SC is still worth the same to me now as it was day one. I have learned better ways to get it and am no longer in a rush to spend it on things but it still holds a larger value than many other sims currencies do. If I am right and this idea is from Wajas, the economy there is a perfect example of why you shouldn't just hand out non-premium currency in mass. It has been a mess over there for awhile and I really don't encourage the same type of reward system when the WD Staff are clearly doing a good job to limit how quickly SC is devalued.

This is exactly like that Wajas' game, yes. However the reward is substantially lower, and the stacking/streak function would be reset ultimately, as well as implenting the idea to "lose" the streak upon not remembering to play daily.

Personally, I'm doing quite well for grinding/investing time in WD to generate SC as it is, however I've heard from users over time how they found it difficult to generate SC. Upon finding other avenues to obtain SC (ie. Trades Market, Sales threads) - there has been little interaction for many users, regardless of bumping to stay on front page. This game idea is simply an offering of a way to help remedy that issue.

I'm also an EA player and find the economy a bit curious, however I am still observing it quietly to learn it better.

How do you mean? I find the Wajas economy to be very stable-- there is inflation and deflation over time, and trends tend to arise or disappear throughout the year, based on user interaction.

I think WD staff are doing an excellent job as well, yes!
