Balance Snake Quests

Balance Snake Quests

the daily snake quests have probably been one of the most difficult tasks for users recently, because we often get impossible quests to complete either very early on in the game or the user automatically being unable to complete it. such as; high level enemies they cannot find, or cannot defeat due to level, and very high requests of hunts (8~10 successful hunts when you only have 1 team.)

sometimes, the snake will ask you for hunts even if you don't have a complete team available. what i mean by this is, if your team has pregnant wolves who are nesting, they will be unable to hunt until the duration they give birth. that leaves you with one team out, and being unable to complete the quests (this is besides the point of having a second team, because lot of people don't have a second team yet to avoid overwhelming their pack, resources, and themselves).

being unable to complete the quests usually isn't a problem, but being unable to cancel the quest is... a bigger issue. while i understand the snake skull does just that, it is WAY  too expensive to buy consistently to get out of being stuck on a quest. it isn't worth the 150SC when it's already difficult to make this much money, and on top of that, users currently rely on the daily snake quests for income. suggestion to make the snake skull cheaper.

which leads me to another suggestion: the snake quest durations should be shortened. while it gives users plenty of time to complete the quests, it also often blocks those out of earning money for another day that they could have gotten a new quest. which, again, waiting the two days to try to complete a quest, currently, isn't really worth it  because the payout is usually always less than 200SC. sometimes barely even 100SC.

i won't go on for paragraphs, so i'll just list the rest of my snake quest suggestions; more SC and EXP gain for more difficult quests, difficult quests should be dependent on the level of your lead, defeat x amount of enemies should be dependent on the level of your lead, dependent on hunt teams (so that it doesn't ask for hunts while your entire team is nesting, or for 8+ successful hunts when you only have 1 team), optional suggestion, but more daily quests a day would be nice and would fill the niche of the SC/EXP demand. rare/challenging quest spawns should be increased (people are often unable to complete these ones the most because they do not spawn often enough )

I agree that the difficult quests (7+ hunts and a slay quest when there is only one enemy available to you) should give you a higher reward. I think they are already adjusted so you don't get any you cannot complete but it needs a bit more finagling.

I personally don't think hunting quests should be limited to available hunters since that is the trade-off of having females.

As for more daily quests, I rather like the idea of always getting one quest per RO with them stacking up. So if you take 3 days to complete a quest, you can immediately start another until you have finished the last quest of your last RO. After that you have to wait until next RO to get a new one.

I agree. My last hunt quest was 9 Hunts. All I got was 120 SC. That's ludicrous.

I agree, the harder the quests, the more the SC. It doesn't sound horrible to implement.

Agree with the above suggestions. The snake quests have been nothing but frustrating except in the slight chance I get lucky and get an easy quest.

Agree. I had a quest to hunt bears and bought a skull because my lead is only level 8 at the moment. Then, the new quest I rolled was.... to hunt bears. I'm not going to buy skulls anymore, because it's just not worth it when you get less than the skull's cost for a quest and you can end up with the same exact quest.

I have a bear hunt quest now and am into day two. I've seen four, accidentally skipped one and lost to one today. I've been on pretty consistently too.

Two days of hunting bears and I know the payout is going to be under 200SC. Divided the SC by the two days it took to get the quest done is a very low amount (if I get it done) and buying a snake skull is not economically worth it either.

Edit: I found another bear and recieved 109SC for two days work.

Yeah. The snake skull consistently costing more than the average quest pays out is... kinda not great, especially when the pool is small enough you're likely to just get it again (I took two days to do eight hunts... and then my next was eight hunts) I definitely think it should be about 100 flat- so that the price of a skip is probably just under what you got for actually completing one.

Personally I suggest such: Break the quests into tiers and let people pick a tier . Easy, Medium, and Hard and theres a payout difference between them, maybe like 100-ish for easy, 150-ish for medium and 200-ish for completing a hard. That way people who would benefit from an easier start (newbies, people who dont have the whole day to use) can pick easier and those feeling like they could beat a challenge can go for it.

Support, I don't mind the quests personally but a lot of people do.

@Lesbirds....

I really like the tiers idea! It would be a really great way for newbies to earn some cash without their brains exploding trying to figure out how the heck they’re going to kill like.. 5 bears in 2 days- loollll
