a MOST dangerous fling (mating with non-stud wolves)

if you're not a fan of it and something like this did get added, you don't have to use it, lmao. there are people that play for profit only, and as Fraidy said, this would punish those who risked it. |

I understand where you're coming from and in concept it's a fun idea, but I just don't think it'll ever be worth it x'D Like I said in another thread: Players shouldn't feel too punished/restricted when engaging with the primary feature of the site (breeding). Otherwise it stops being a breeding petsim and just becomes a hardcore wolf life simulator. Adding challenge to increase engagement is one thing, but too much of it will only cause players to avoid these kinds of features entirely or straight up stop playing ;v; I would never touch a feature that could cause me to not only possibly lose a wolf, or give me a "reward" of a single pup with no markings. I feel like this would encourage people using fodder/throwaway studs they don't care about, which would remove the "risk" factor entirely and defeat the purpose x'D Edit: Also I really wouldn't use the "Don't like it, don't use it" argument here, there's another thread about male wolf breeding within the pack with people suggesting much better and riskless ideas that stay in-line with the style the game currently is. Sure we don't have to use this feature, but why would we have this when we prefer another? :O I hope I don't sound rude btw, just kinda trying to explain my thoughts from hanging out in the other thread. |

you don't sound rude at all! I like hearing peoples opinions. It's a lot nicer hearing an actual statement, rather than straight up "no support" Lioden had some decent events, like the February valentines event, that (iirc) let you have a higher chance of encountering females maybe instead of encountering females, you had a chance to encounter rogue males as well. some of these maybe have limited markings that aren't available usually. If your lead wolf is female, you have the chance to invite them or breed with them, but they leave right after. if your lead wolf is male, you can invite them or let them breed with a female thats in heat, but they can't stay. theres a few options of this idea i think could work, what i suggested is a very loose idea. |

Oh! I'm not arguing that people only have one, wolvden was designed with the importance of the male in mind. But what I mean is that you'd be unlikely to risk your "insanely valuable wolf", or best male - since either he is, should be, or will be your stud. And its an optional risk regardless, so breeding that highly valuable male instead of tanking those 30 days is a bit short-sighted, and deserves a little risk for the poor management. I like this suggestion as I think it will help players without much to their name, more the fledglings type, more than it would help players with top-tier or even well-established dens - if it is utilized by them, at least it takes an awful lot of wolves out of site storage and removes wolves from the breeding pool. Someone breeding their first NBW together don't have much to lose, but people breeding their penta-merles wouldn't hazard it. Well, and if they do decide to hazard it, playing silly games wins silly prizes. |
