Grove item to change marking colour?

Grove item to change marking colour?

What the topic says, I have been wishing there was an item to change a marking's colour to make it match better with other markings/the base.

I would rather just have a marking replacer that let's you to change existing marking to another - but it would only of course include the same markings that regular applicator has.

I don't like the idea since it would make getting rare colours in rare slots too easy and unpredictable.

And if we only take common and custom colours (which I think is way more fair) you can already use a Remover and then the basic Marking Applicator.

Yeah that's why I rather have the marking replacer, it could just cost as much as remover + applicator does, but... Just do the job faster.

I disagree with other comments, I support it.  I even made a topic on it (even though I searched for an existing topic and didn't find it) but it got locked by mods as a duplicate:

Main Idea: Like the title suggests, I think a marking color changer would be very useful for players.  Have a rare marking, but hate the color?  Change it!  The Color Changer should be available to apply to any marking, simply pick the slot number you want the color changed on and then pick your preferred color to change it to.  But the colors will NOT include breed only colors.

Sub Idea: Another idea is, in addition to the color changer, also make a Random Color Applicator [RCA], similar to a Random Marking Applicator [RMA] but for colors.  Where you have a chance at getting any color, including breed only.  I am aware of how this could get slightly unfair if someone's lucky enough to get a breed only from an RMA and then another breed only from the RCA.  However, like I mentioned, this applicator would rely 100% on luck only.  Players won't be allowed to choose a color for the RCA.

No support (a bit reluctantly, since I agree with Sigyn that it'd be quite convenient. I'd love to be able to swap merles to white).

My main concern is that it'd be unfair/unbalanced when it comes to raffle marks. For instance, say that white wings is released on a raffle stud, and you breed/buy a white wings pup. Three weeks later, red wings is released on a raffle stud. If you can swap your pup to red wings, you've just gotten the jump on all of this week's raffle winners (because your pup is older and can become a stud sooner).

Came across this thread while looking to see if the game already had this exact concept, and found out it does not.

While I can understand some concerns, I fully support it!

Main reason being: Not everyone plays the same. I don't care for "rare" markings, I just want my wolf to look good. The RMA is more often a miss than a land for me. I would much rather be able to change a color than have to buy a remover, RMA, and then try to change the opacity to make it look as appealing as it can be.

Of course people can abuse a feature, I think it's a losing game to shoot down ideas purely because people would use it to get ahead. There is already quite a limited pool on marking applicators, I feel like a color changing applicator for markings would remedy the fact that so many markings are just off limits to most players unless they spend a super long time grinding in the game.

Even if it was set to random, I feel like it could still work.

I.e. I have a badger base female with bright red markings, and it's the ONE color that didn't work on her. Having something, even set to random, would leave me with pretty good odds to get a different color all while still letting me keep her unique marking.
