Male wolves would have virtility levels similar to female wolves. Breeding pairs of wolves with lower fertility/virtility would have higher chances for mutations. The rankings for virtility and fertility would be the same. If anyone else has any ideas, feel free to add on. |

Do you mean virility? I think it would be interesting; it would definitely make sex-changing more clear since you could predict fertility (within a margin mabye). |

I think that's a good idea, especially since in reality a male's virility/fertility would affect the health of the offspring quite a bit. Maybe, it could have a different mechanic than with females: vitility of a male can decrease overtime, giving players another incentive to not retire their stud, just so he has a higher chance of passing a mutation. Doesn't mean all males should start with Very Good virility and decrease to Infertile. They can start anywhere from Very Good to Bad and decrease to Very Bad and Infertile. |

Suppose you get the perfect wolf to be stud (base, marks, stats, whatever you like) but he has low virility. It'd be a headache every time you wanted to breed him, especially since the female may not have great fertility either. (For example, say the male and the female both have 30% fert; that's not even super low, but it would mean a 9% chance to get pregnant on any given try.) It's not an interesting game challenge either; it's just a waste of energy and having to click the breed button a whole lot of times. |
