@22721 ollie i'll add you to the list for testing! and i'm really glad you like the system! i was trying to figure out how to make it a strategy game while still adding randomized elements to it, i'm glad it came across well |

I'll give the handbook a look over after dinner, but regardless I'd be interested in testing! |

Ok! So I've had a chance to read through things. I have two points really I'd like to mention 1. It might be nice to give the point values tied to stats. For example, how many points is a perfect head worth? 10? 20? Without these values, I don't understand how you get the max and average points a cat can earn in a show. They seem incredibly high and I currently don't have a way to figure out how they get so high. 2. In your equation to calculate show results, you have essentially stats MINUS bonuses. I feel like it should be more like body stats + bonuses - faults, just for clarity. I know in the end it works out the same, but reading a bonus as a negative value can be confusing. I hope that makes sense, but really providing examples of a cat's stats and how it may perform in a show with those stats plugged into that equation would help me understand how that works a bit more. Otherwise I think it looks pretty good! |

@4264 alkervah point totals are hidden on purpose, since you don't really have exact numbers for real cats, however i will say that the point total on body stats is a percentage with perfect being 100 c: there are a lot of percentages and bell curves going on in there faults/bonuses/deductions is combined to get one number. i'll modify that to make it more clear, and change the subtraction sign to addition, i just didn't think it would be too much of a problem since it would be the same result and everything's going to be calculated with a spreadsheet. i generated a couple of fake cats to test the showing equation and to see if it worked, but i've since deleted them- when test shows get running, we'll have a lot of examples though. the only thing i'm really concerned is going to need tweaked is focus tbh thank you for your feedback and i'll work on editting the equation! |

Gotcha, gotcha! I am a very visual person, especially when numbers are involved, so I mist have missed the percentages thing. And yeah, I guess bell curves would be a bit tricky to plop in there. I'm sure I'll get it figured out once things get going, it definitely looks like it will be a good time! |

this sounds really interesting! quite complex, but still seems pretty fun. :o i'd consider helping to test, so just ask and i'll decide if you need testers :D |

I'm gonna take a look through your handbook, but already I am extremely interested in testing for you. I'd also love to provide the lineart/coloring- heres an example of my WIP Doxie Dragon Adoptables with many variations available to give you an idea on quality ^^ If youd wanna discuss it, feel free to PM me <3 |

we're coming to the end of testing with the algorithms looking how i want them to, otherwise i'd invite you to the discord. i expect it'll be done within a couple of days unless something goes horribly wrong with litters. that being said!!! the game itself should be up and running in a few weeks, once i get visuals together, and i would really appreciate feedback on the handbook if you're still up to looking over it! |
