ABOUT MORNING DUST PACKTerritoryThe pack of Morning Dust are a humble but resilient group who reside in a enchanted forest. In accordance with the pack tradition, the alpha pair receive a stretch of redwood forest often referenced as the Crownsland. It's rumoured that the alpha pair use the territory to perform rituals and all kinds of dark deeds, to gain contact with higher spirits. However, no one actually knows what goes on in the Crownslands, because access is restricted to the alphas only, unless explicitly invited. Beyond the Crownslands is a normal forest filled with oak trees, pine trees, birch trees, and the works. This land is primarily used as a hunting ground. Once you pass the boscage you'll notice the oaks, birch pine, and other species fade until into a mysterious forest populated exclusively by birch. Whispers abound about this land being under special protection and blessing. Wolves who enter the territory report a mysterious, but welcoming presence whenever their pawsteps lead them there. Often referred to as the motherlands, the wolves of Morning Dust pack use the territory for social gatherings. In addition to that, pregnant she-wolves often birth cubs here. Succeeding the motherlands is another expansion of archetypal woodland containing a mix of different trees. The main den is hidden here, with all of the subordinates. This area is predominantly used as a casual hang out spot. HISTORYZyska was a young half-wolf, and half-dog hybrid born unto Truity a malamute golden retriever mix, and Verian, a golden wolf. From a young age her parents had high aspirations for her, and she quickly developed into a adolescent everyone respected for their adept problem solving prowess, intelligence, and linguistic talents. At the young age of 14 she even received invites to the city council. However, Zyska didn't find happiness in any of those achievements, and decided to leave her life as a domestic pet behind. Unfortunately, the wild dogs of the city met her with hostility, attacking her on multiple occasions. This culminated into Zyska choosing a life in the forest. The she-wolf quickly found hunting to be an issue, having no prier experience. Smokey found her near death, collapsed from hunger, and offered to instruct her. She agreed, and the two become inseparable. Zyska soon gave birth to Diva, a pumice colored pup, and Mars, a red pup. Both passed away due to starvation. Zyska and Smokey asked around for assistance and were soon joined by Aunt Edalyn, Genette, Eva, and a host of other younglings, eventually forming a pack. This did not solve the problem, and many members left. Conflict between Smokey and Zyska arose at this point because turns out this wheeler deeler had an affair with two pupsitters, Genette, and Aunt Edalyn, resulting in more additions to the pack. The pair decided to put aside their differences however, when a troop of orphaned pups were discovered. Another wave of suffering would strike the pack when sickness took the lives of their adopted children, and Smokey's two lovers. Currently, the only remaining blood relations of the pair are two pups Smokey had with Edalyn, and loners they adopted into their family. That concludes this brief summary of the pack history. |
