She wasn't sure whether or not to wake the stranger up. He seemed to be having a bad dream, and she knew from experience that being suddenly awoken from those types of dreams could lead to consequences. She'd hurt more people than she'd like to admit during those times.
Something akin to sympathy made her chest ache. He was so much like her in more ways than he knew and she hated it. She hated seeing herself in someone else. No one should be like her.
She inched forward on light feet, crouching down to his sleeping form.
"Uh. Hey. I got you some more water" she said, hoping her voice would be enough to make him wake.
his ear twitched and he turned to look at her Had she heard me crying?... I hope not he yawned reliving large canine teeth and tongue "Thanks..." he mumbled as he reached for the water and drank it Is she disappointed that I am still here? he eyed her curiously and stopped drinking and licked his lips "you have not told me your name...mines Oliver," he said and looked at margo would she tell him her name now maybe a little a bit about herself?
If Margo had seen him cry, she didn't comment on it, with the tiny bit of context she had about his life, he was more than allowed to let out his emotions. He'd been through a lot and if this could be a little safe haven for him....then maybe that'd help ease his mind.
Sure, she was still weary, she still had her guard up, but she could tell when another person was suffering.
"I don't really have any food you can eat, unless you want more fresh kill" she said as she crouched beside him once again and watched him drink.
She was hesitant to tell him her name, but she supposed she could give him at least that. "I'm Margo".
he gave her a weak smile "Margo... I like it..you seem like a Margo" he chuckled "And I guess I might as well try fresh kill" he spoke as he finished his water and licked his lips trying to get the small droplets of water off his whiskers "thanks for everything" he gave her another weak smile he yawned once more and slowly got up and stretched
Margo's mouth twitched upwards into the whisper of a smile, her shoulders drooping as she handed him the thawed corpse she'd picked out of her freezer before she'd left. It wasn't exactly the freshest, but it had been recently hunted at the very least.
"You don't need to thank me, I did try and eat you at first" she said lightly, a hint of humour in her tone. "But if you still want me to get you out of these woods, let me know. I can't really go much further than that though, the sun irritates my skin".
She could walk around during the day for the most part, but only because the trees above shielded her from it's dangerous rays. It was one thing she loved about living in the woods.
his eyes flashed with fear as she suggested leaving what if they found him or what if he ran into his sister or his father in the state he was in he avoided the thought and smiled "Well if you don't mind I might go for a walk myself!" he chuckled "I have been in here to long I need the stretch my legs!" he yawned again clearly he hand not hand the best sleep
"Sure, it's safe to walk around here" she nodded, knowing how beautiful walks in the woods during dawn could be. "Just don't get lost".
The woods could be very disorienting sometimes, but with her strong senses and a lot of practice, she could find her way around easily. She wasn't sure how it'd be for Oliver though, but if he wanted to walk around who was she to stop him?
he trotted outside and breathed in the fresh morning air he followed a small path far from the building and shed and peeked his head out of a large number of bushes to see civilization he looked sadly and shook his head and walked out of the bushes in his normal form and walked down the street I have to be quickΒ he ran behind all of the houses until he reached his and peered into the driveway to see a large white van and his heart skipped a beat no no no no no he raced over to on of the windows of the houses to see his father talking to a large bulky man holding a missing poster of him he looked around for his sister and saw her..she was crying and clinging onto their dad's leg he raced back to the woods and quickly raced into the abonoden building and hid "this is all my fault"Β their looking for me and my sister is scared what if they hurt them!?
Margo left Oliver to finish off her usual dawn routine of setting out laundry and cleaning up the shack a little bit. She wandered into the abandoned building to sweet the dust off the floors, hoping that if Oliver stayed another night, he wouldn't have to breath in dust and mould and whatever else had been growing in this building for many, many years.
She was still cleaning, humming to herself, when Oliver rushed back into the building. She jumped as he flew past her to hide, taken aback by his alarm.
"What's wrong?" she asked, alert, looking around for any signs of danger. Fuck, now that the sun was beginning to come up, her senses had been dulled. How was she supposed to protect herself and another person now????
he panted and struggled to stay on his feet "they-" he could not finishΒ his head felt dizzy and overcrowded with thoughts he leaned against one of the walls of the building and tried to catch his breath waves of panic and guilt overcame Oliver and punched the wall and sat down again while cradling his head in his arms and whimpering
