Twilightpeaks looked up. Blood was dripping from her muzzle. Fogwatcher had ordered everyone to stop fighting. Twilightpeaks flicked her tailtip. She had watched her walk over to the cat that Jay and she had killed. "We have already lost one, do we need to lose anymore?" she had said. Now, Twilightpeaks was annoyed with herself for letting the dead shecat tell her what to do. She quickly clouded her thoughts so Fogwatcher wouldn't see them.
Juniperleaf scrambled to her paws, listening to Fogwatcher, then looking at the dead cat. 'But how is a ghost dead?' she thought. 'And wasn't it Twilightpeaks who killed that cat? Was it?' she sat and quietly licked the blood off of her claws.
Twilightpeaks' bloodstained paws trembled with indignation. Though she was glad to be out of the fighting, she still felt something inside her belly that made her feel nauseous
Juniperleaf let out a sigh and walked towards the edge of the clearing, trying to see through the fog. How were they going to get back to camp? Their scent trails would have faded by now. She looked back at Fogwatcher, flicking her tail towards the fog as a signal.
After the weird feeling went away, she stood up. She slightly swayed as she padded towards the bushes were she and Jay came from. Their little nest had been trampled and crippled. She started to put it back together. She clouded her thoughts incase Fogwatcher was nearby. Why did Fogwatcher do that? She peered from the bushes and saw Fogwatcher still crouching over the cat that she and Jay had killed. The rest of the dark forest cats stood in a circle, studying their paws. A sudden mew made her jump. She whipped around to see Jay. "Spying on Fogwatcher, eh?" he had an amused look on his face
Jay paced towards the nest and started to scraped it together as well. Maybe a kitty pet isn't that bad after all Her thoughts were still clouded. She tipped her head. Had the kitty pet noticed that she had feelings for him. She tried to make out the looks he gave her, but they all gave nothing away.
After the nest was put back together, she and Jay went out to look for fresh moss to freshen it up. Twilightpeaks knew that she had her own nest in the warriors den, and that she hadn't been in camp for 2 days, since the fight with Fogwatcher. The Spruceclan deputy wanted to go back, but her heart longed to be with Jay.
splinter'paw crouched more into the bush and his dream started to fade NO! the young tom woke up in his nest and he grumbled angrily to himself "I could have helped her!" he hissed and trotted out of his den to enjoy the sunrise
wild'kit yawned and stretched out her paws "good morning!" she squeaked loudly batting snow'kit and night'kit on their heads then jumping on her mother pool'frost "wake up!"
pool'frost yawned and smiled at her only kit that was jumping in her fluffy pelt "ok dear that's enough" she cooed to the energetic kitten
It had been a day since the battle. Every cat was still recovering and the grey tabby was shaken. She had tried her best to stay in the fog, not replying to anything outside of it, Fogwatcher instead studied plants that grew inside her newly made boundary. Flowers, grass, trees, manly anything to distract her from the battle, and her chilling discovery. Nightstalker resided with the evil spirits... The place of no stars...
splinter'paw focused on night'kit and frowned at the resemblance that tom did kind of look li- he froze "no...It can't be" he rushed over to the leader's den his paws kicked up pebbles and clouds of dust as he ran "GOLDEN'STAR!" he yowled and skidded into her den he panted and caught his breath "it-its night'stalker!" he mewed
