For example, I currently have an adolescent I trained. I trained this wolf to be a Finisher, so I completed all of their Strength puppy training. Their birth STR stat is listed as 132, the puppy training bonus is listed as +15, but their actual present STR stat is 133. I accidentally sent them out on a hunting mission, so I'm not even certain that the 1 point gain in strength is actually a result of puppy training at all. Here's a link to the wolf I'm talking about if you'd like to check for yourself and see if/where I messed up. link Another example, I have another adolescent who got the same Finisher training, plus some. Her birth STR stat is listed as 132, her training says +17 (despite getting the same level of STR training as the former puppy), and her current STR is listed as 149, however, she's gone out on several hunting missions so I can't tell where those stats came from. Here's a link to that puppy too link And again, I have a puppy who isn't yet an adolescent. Her birth stats are listed as: STR 55 SPD 50 AGL 50 WIS 75 SMT 73 Her training at time of writing gives her a +15 to WIS and a +12 to SMT. Her current stats are: STR 55 SPD 57 AGL 47 WIS 75 SMT 76 Which means puppy training her with Wisdom did literally nothing?? And she got a +15 for incomplete WIS training where another puppy who got 3/3 lessons in STR got a +15 too??? Her agility score went DOWN??? Here's a link to that puppy as well link What does puppy training actually do? Why are these things listed as +15 or +12 or whatever if they're not influencing their stats? Why are some of them getting a bonus for getting all three lessons and some aren't? Am I misunderstanding how this works, am I encountering a bug? I'm very confused |

For stats going down; certain personalities lower some stats. They can make wolves have lower stats than their birth stats; once personality is changed, their stats will reflect accordingly. So her stats are all correct, she's Adventurous which means -3 Agility, +7 Speed and +3 Smarts, that's in her stats. If you change her personality, the boosts and debuffs will change accordingly! For how much stats a pup gets; Im not certain myself but it seems to depend on how high is the teacher's stat. The higher the teacher's stat is, the bigger + it will give the pups it trains - at least, that's the impression Im getting. |

1) Personality. As stated above, each personality comes with a unique mix of stat buffs and debuffs. 2) Pup Training. Each lesson the pup completes adds to the total they will be rewarded with when they reach their first birthday. How much each lesson adds depends on... a) How many hours the lesson took. b) How much more of the relevant stat the teacher had than the pup. 3) Adolescent Apprenticeship. Shadowing an adult at their job helps a teen wolf gain both proficiency in that job and some stats associated with that job. Unlike the stats from pup training, the stats from a day of apprenticing are earned immediately. So on their first birthday, a young wolf's stats have already gone through a lot of changes. It can be hard to keep up with, but I hope I made it a little simpler. |
