WHEEZES i'm sure this has likely been done but,,, unless I've got a weird bug of some sort when I go to the customizer it just shows me a default amber wolf it'd be nice if the base, skin color etc were already displayed if they want to start with a clean slate anyway there can always be a convenient "default" button next to the randomize button. i would personally prefer this since when i'm looking to customize a wolf i do want to keep most of the original design and just pretty-fy it |

I agree! I’ve been wanting to customize one of my wolves for a bit, and have been pretty frustrated with not being able to just edit his current markings and everything. Plus, it also means that you have to pay far more gc if you’re editing a wolf who originally had a good number of markings, and you just wanted to add onto that. I think it would be nice if you could customize a wolf, and all of the preexisting appearance things showed up. Apparently it’s partially because some markings and stuff are not in the customizer or something? But in that case, maybe when a wolf with markings that are not in the customizer is put in, you can’t customize the color of the markings, but can change the opacity? And obviously still can’t add those markings to a wolf who didn’t previously have them. or perhaps it just doesn’t allow you to delete them? Another way it could work is if you customize a wolf, you could have a markings inventory of sorts? And if the wolf you’re customizing has markings not in the customizer, they could count as markings within your inventory that you can edit on the wolf, or take off of your wolf, and give to a different wolf for a fee. That could also open up new ways to get special markings and such through games or Explore or something. I’m just typing out whatever comes to mind as it comes to mind, so I hope this made some sort of sense 😂 |

Maybe I am misunderstanding this but the reason the customizer does not display the wolf you are customizing is because all of that data will be overwritten. And since the customizer only has common and custom options, it could be misleading if I plop a Sarder based wolf in there and the customizer would display it. And making them not-editable doesn't work since it will be overwritten with whatever option you put in there. I would rather re-add the info than made believe you could edit a wolf with bo base/markings/etc. |

I would love to be able to customize my breeding male a bit more! But since it basically wipes everything to a blank slate... I’d be losing the Merle and Inuit Unders that I love having on him. I feel like we should definitely have the option of starting with a blank slate or editing any wolf as they are. That’s not to say the customizer should have all markings—exclusive markings should still be exclusive, but those who want to customize their wolves that already have exclusive markings shouldn’t be forced to either lose those markings or pay lord knows how much GC while praying to the RNG gods with marking applicators. |

I agree! I had another thought of maybe on the wolf wardrobe page there's a button you can use to quickly export a design to the customizer, or that the customizer will preview the price for you. I'm currently working on customizing a wolf and I couldn't decide on things and was getting feedback from others so I had to keep going back and forth between the wardrobe and the customizer to get links and edit |

As Sienna Snow said, the Customizer wipe all features from the selected wolf and overwrite your new choices. If you want to customize a wolf with just a couple of markings or just their base, you have to use the applicators sold in the Grove. The Customizer is not an editor of wolves. It creates a new wolf from nothing or let you overwrite a custom design on a wolf you already have. It has its advantage (cost less than applicators and you can set the opacity you want) and its disadvantage (wipe pre-existing features and has limited markings). @FriedKilamari There is no need to pray RNG to add markings to your wolf. If you want to add markings that are available in the customizer, you can buy a Marking Applicator that let you choose the marking you want. Only RMA and Total Shuffle are based on RNG. That way you can customize your merle wolf without wiping the merle or the inuit. |
