It is difficult to understand, and creates even greater confusion to new players trying to understand the values of markings. Why not simply write out the type of marking? It would immediately clarify the source and type, and not imply a hierarchical tier system. I absolutely agree! I remember being very confused by this as a newbie, lol

My brain can't ever keep track of what the tiers mean
