Posted 2024-07-15 10:23:09 #1231008 hi all; im having trouble changing my profile image/tag and i cant think of the reason why. i did see one other semi-recent thread like this, but i figured id make my own instead of pinging the other person on a days old thread needlessly. i have uploaded my image to imgur, and i have copied the correct link; its the exact same format as my current profile image is, starting with https:// and ending in .png, but im still getting the invalid url error at the top of the page. current image's url: https://i.imgur.com/ougUFQX.png new image's url, which is being rejected: https://i.imgur.com/4LVnTCT.png error at the top of the page: "Your tag must be a valid image URL - make sure it starts with http:// or https:// and ends with an image format (e.g. .jpg, .png, .gif)." i tried resizing the image as i saw someone mention they should be 150x150, but that didnt make any difference; same error message given. (maybe size does matter and its just a different size? it looks bigger than 100x100 at least?) im unsure if this is just a bug or an issue somewhere, but i didnt want to throw it into the bug reports without trying to check first. it wouldnt be the first time ive missed some tiny detail that broke something lol	wolftofu #13204

Hey! This isn't a bug unfortunately and rather just a new change to Imgur. They're no longer allowing third party image verification, which is what's causing the error per this report, so you'll have to find another website to host the image on. :(

well shoot, that sucks. i dont even know what else there is ._. do you (or anyone else) happen to have any recommendations?

I use imgbb for most of my images and it works just fine! I've also heard good things about Filegarden and Postimage ^^
