When she finally got home her mother was standing at the door hands on her hips."and where were you?" Her mother asked eyes narrowed "I was just on a walk and it got late mom" Venus said which was apparently the wrong thing to say because she still got lectured about it for 30 minutes.

with a harsh landing on a cliff near her home she got down from the dragon and began taking off stormfyre's saddle and gear before petting her and walking inside

After that Venus sped through dinner "can I pleaseeeee say good night to the dragons at the stables?" she asked her mother she really just wanted an excuse to pet the dragons so it was mostly true.Her mother sighed "fine,but be fast and then get ready for bed" she said and Venus grabbed her coat and darted out of the door.
