The pale moonlight flickered through every crack and crevice of the leaves over head, a dull breeze brushing against every cats pelt as they passed along the trails left for them by their neighboring clan. At the front of the line, trudged Dower'Star, a scrawny, but thick coated tom, whose belly first dragged against the leaf covered earth below them. Steady-paced as ever, they drug their clan through the edge of ThunderClan territory, and towards the clearing for the once a moon meeting held between all four clans.

Another tom, burly and dense, padded along beside his leader, wide-eyed and fretful, ears twitching about to catch any rustle or scurry that was to be heard. Moss'Speckle was always on edge at Four Trees, never once had he believed these meetings were a good idea, what if every clan decided to turn on one? What if they decided to turn on RiverClan? Well, it wasn't his call, it was StarClans, so he would go along with it, no matter how begrudgingly.

The small group of RiverClan cats finally made it to the clearing, emerging cautiously from the brush near the edge of ThunderClan territory, Dower'Star and his deputy padding over to the Great Rock with the rest of the leaders and deputies.

Thistle'Thorn surveyed the rest of the clans, eyeing each member, apprentice to leader, with a chilling neutrality. She sat near the outer edges of the crowd, keeping to herself as they usually did, their eyes trailing after their sister, Robin'Song as she chatted up a ThunderClan apprentice like she didn't have a breath to waste.

Most cats in the clearing turned the moment Hazel'Star and his deputy pushed their way through the brush, leaving no clan left to arrive, this seemed to ease some, and unease others, Thistle'Thorn was caught between the two.

Dower'Star caught sight of Hazel'Star, and in respect, gave him a small dip of their head, just as they had the rest of the leaders.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, meet beneath the Great Rock for the Gather"! Dower'Star yowled in their raspy old voice. When all the cats had settled, they began, "Thankfully, RiverClan has little news for the rest of you, our Clan has had little strife this moon. The currents were strong and the fish plentiful."

Thistle'Thorn listened as their leader droned on about the litters of lots that had been burned and the two new apprentices that had been appointed a few days ago. She knew all of this, so it was pointless drabble to her, b it the rest of her clan looked around with pride, something not unknown of RiverClan.
