When I first joined the rp world(Decades ago lolz) I only started with two characters in most rp's but soon found it easy to handle a bunch when doing 1x1's. Not to mention, entertaining myself with my own characters if others ignored me. It doesn't help that I like having an even amount of characters. Generally with evenly split genders.

I would never ignore you though
I like having even numbers to, gender things not a big one, I much prefer females to males, so I tend to just have a few dudes, sorta even it out

i have Ranger, my D&D campaign character, and another one slowly building itself as i read my D&D Eberron: Rising from the Last War book

I was often mistaken as a guy when writing, since I'm not very girlish in general. Or so that's what people have told me. Most are shocked when they'd find out I'm a woman.

So playing males never bothered me. Not to mention having an array of characters really helps when working on my books.

There used to be a boy I went to school with and people got us mixed up all the time. He got so butt hurt about it while I chuckled.  He even told me one day he hated me, and I was like bro, you're speaking to the wrong person. I could care less, people mistake me for my younger sister all the time, even when they've met and known me longer.
