Loss, growth, and stability– life within the realm seems to be finding a steady balance as the clouds of dread clear to reveal a new dawn, a new era. In the Silver Isle and sunny Shorus Kingdom, citizens rebuild after the demise of their respective monarchs– relishing the newfound spirit of matriarchal leadership. Though the lands still harbour their own problems, and the strangeness of fresh rulers reigns, there is a peace amongst the world that has not been felt in some time. Rebuilding of kingdoms means the rekindling of relationships. The Silver Isle, especially, has sought out new– and old– alliances from far and wide. Their kinship with Shorus has led to an unlikely truce with an old enemy– the Guidao Empire. They are an ancient, brawn-favouring nation, with unique values and customs that, at first, seem strange to the other lands. Their trade opportunities are abound, however. Coupled with that and their strength, a vague union of the triad is quickly agreed upon. The unity seems too good to be true as all three powers flourish amidst open borders and increased commerce. Ships pass freely between the waters, luxury goods are dispersed into eager markets, new faces make appearances within stale communities, and contentment reigns. Overshadowed by the gaiety of it all, no one seems to notice the cracks forming along the truce's already unstable foundation. Amity is hard to come by in the world, and peace rarely lasts. It begins with an unexpected murder within Guidao's court. The emperor is quick to cast suspicion towards their newfound ally, his head swiftly filling with sickening ideas of treachery. The Silver Isle, in turn, takes the brunt of the misplaced blame. Diplomats from all three realms set out to thwart the quarrel before it even begins, seeking the truth and clawing to keep claim over harmony. However, they never accounted for the emperor's derangement.
