"H-h-h-hi, I-I-I-I'm Ranger," he stuttered, ears twitching back under the ferocity of the adult she-wolf's glare. "An-an-an-and this is m-m-m-m-my friend Mossy," Ranger said to Lily, pointing at his caterpillar. "He's h-h-h-hanging out w-w-w-w-w-w-with me." He turned his attention back to Kyla, stepping back from her hostility. "I'm s-s-s-s-sorry for spying, I-I-I-I-I was just - sorry," he repeated. "I-I-I-I-I should have s-s-s-seen the stick. I m-m-m-m-messed up."

Kyla watched the male as he nervously introduced himself. He was certainly a mess. Though she didn't mind the timidness he showed, it was a nice switch up from her overbearing ex-mate. Her expression softened slightly, "Nice to meet you Ranger, I'm Kyla and this is my daughter Lily. Sorry for the hostility. One can never be too careful."

Lily's head tilted to the side as he stated the bug was his friend, "Do you not have any wolf friends so you had to befriend a bug?" Kyla's ears pressed against her head. She knew her pup was simply curious, but to others, her words would seem rude. She stepped in front of her pup, "No need to worry about that, I should have noticed your presence from the start. It's been a while since I've been so immersed in a conversation I've forgotten my surroundings."

"Sorta? He wanted to join your pack while I was there" she said quietly, wasn't her territory, so she was letting Kyla do the chatting  however she offered a small smile to Ranger, that was about it.

"No, I j-j-j-just joined the pack and I d-d-d-d-don't know most of the wolves and I f-f-f-f-f-found him crawling on me when I was eating a rabbit and I t-t-t-t-thought he was cute so I k-k-k-k-kept him. It was also because he wanted to keep exploring all over me. But since I'm new, I d-d-don't have a pack role yet. I just hope Diego is up to the task of helping me become a hunter, since he got hurt pretty bad earlier. I'm j-j-j-just glad he wasn't as hurt as your Alpha, Lilith. She was messed up p-p-p-p-pretty badly," Ranger explained. His stutter was disappearing as he calmed down after Kyla apologized about the hostility.

"Wait, Diego and Lilith are both injured?!?!" Her ears pressed further down as she shifted on her paws. "Really...what have they been doing while I was away? You want to become a hunter? That's great, we could use more hunters. I'm a hunter as well, I could have one of the pupsitters watch over Lily and run the test with you. That's if Lilith is up for it." Her ears flicked slightly, "But if she's injured like you say. I won't bother her with the idea. Not until morning that is."

Lily looked at the caterpillar for a moment, but still couldn't shake away the urge to move away from it. Bugs just weren't her thing, though she was sure her brother would have a blast with it. He was always tormenting her when they were younger. "I promise to sit tight if you do go, mom. Besides I'm tired from our trip."

"Yeah, I think Lilith said something about defeating a Corrupted or Turned or something like that, and forgetting to use her power? And th-th-thanks for offering to help with the hunting test, that would give Diego a chance to rest and heal," He replied. "But...I don't know where I'm supposed to sleep tonight, since I don't have a role in the pack yet." Ranger added uneasily.
