Basically, we have no true way to know what goods are selling for and what price. We can see listings on tc but usually the ones left are left becuase they arent selling. Whats the point of watching a trade and not knowing what was accepted? It would give us a true view of the market environment not an inflated one.

A good idea, allowing players to get better information about how certain items are worth. If it is practiced frequently, the gap between purchase and sale trades of certain items would be decreased, which means items of high value will be cheaper to buy out, such as applicators.

Economy is a complex thing, demand leads the dance and the prices follow.

The item catalogue can give a good idea of how rare an item is in terms of quantity in game.

On top of rarity, different motives impact how wanted an item is. E.g: A legendary fish as a toy isn't worth that much. It's a great amount of play but nothing spectacular compared to how hard they are to catch. However to someone who collects these fish in the hope of having the full collection in their inventory it's worth a lot more.

Same goes for wolves, some might find traits basic and not worth wasting their time with while others need them for the enclave or for their own breeding projects. Basically personal preference or taste.

Another point impacting prices is space and friends. Space when you need to clear out and friends when u deem they'd make a great use of your gift or simply by kindness/loyalty, in these cases the prices become incredibly low.

The only items we know exactly what they're worth is the ones who can be bought 24/7 in the open stores such as Raccoon wars, Fertility snake, etc.

On the other hand Event shops also have a base price which will inevitably increase on the after market for those who missed it.

But I think the market is also a game of advertisement and knowing the needs of the community around you. Putting fix prices for things would yes lower prices and thus you would be making less and then also getting less. Being able to vary prices depending on demande and need is what creates the whole economy on here especially since technically the amount of GC in circulation is the amount ppl spent on the game for the most part. Someone's trash is someone else's treasure so putting fix prices idk if it would be a good idea both a rise in certain prices and low on others would occur.

It's also fun to estimate yourself how much anything is worth, I feel like a business man on here and it's more than part of the game. Part of my fun is to create a successful "shop". Not to be rich but to be able to find challenges and sell things people don't want to work for us what I thrive to do.

Overall I'm not really for having a catalogue of prices because the market is the catalogue. If it's pricey it's because it's hard to get/extremely sought after. If it's not selling it's because the need isn't great enough/someone sells some for lower and eventually the seller might readjust their price.

So yeah in conclusion I don't see the need for it especially since nothing really has a set price as it's use, need, and way of obtaining said item is what impacts it. Imagine having to manually readjust all prices every time new trends, program adjustment or events happen. It would be an insane job and too much work that could've been put into new content.

Still a great thought but I don't think it's the right solution
