How do you Bree a tier 3 base from scratch?

Hi guys, I wonder can anyone explain to me how do one get a tier 3 base from scratch?
Like for example Argent that I want to breed for. Do I have to start with an Argent parent or is it a way to breed one without having a parent?
Also what's the % if you do breed tier * and tier 3 for example?

Can't tell you the exact percentages - Grouse House used to have them but they don't anymore and I don't remember what they were. (I guess they were inaccurate? I think it was before Tier IIIs were actually a thing so there might never have been numbers on that.)

But you do not have to have a parent of the exact Tier III base. Taking the Argent example, the genetics are Monochrome Light III.

In order for an Argent pup to be possible you need:

1. At least one parent to have a Tier III or Tier * base.

2. At least one parent must have a Light shaded base

3. The parents must be able to make a Monochrome pup (so for Monochrome in particular, either one is Monochrome or they both are different color groups)

And the closer the parents are to the target, the better the chances. Higher rarity, for example, and both being Monochrome.

The most DIY way to do it that I'd suggest is to set your breeding male to a Special Light based wolf - which you can get applicators for in events - and breed every Nepheline based female NBW you find in Explore to him. Snow and White, too, if you have the pack space or your Special NBW luck is running dry.

This helps: https://www.wolvden.com/chatter/topic/1064858
it is a guide thread for specific Tier III bases.
I can tell you how *I* am getting them now as a newbie, is that I've been using the search parameter for choosing males to breed to.  In order to get the most choices, I don't look for any specific markings or bases. What I DO look for are base genetics. I put down at first, that I wanted only T II and TIII and Special bases. Those are the only wolves I bred to. I also have a goal for all my wolves to be over 500 skill points at birth, so I put in 1200 as the baseline for skill points. When I started trying for a particular base, then I used the guide above, and added in the base color only in the search parameters.  I've found that if you put a skill level, you might not find any males of that base.
Good luck
