introduction

<sup>while padding through the short, soft grasses, your eyes scan the varying colors of the ground. golds, oranges, and reds blended together to make a gorgeous atmosphere. warm grey tors rise from the ground, giving definition to the otherwise barren lands. these low hills reached far out to the horizon, unable to see an end to them from here.

suddenly, though, you see a splash of white moving amongst the grasses. looking closer, you realized that it was a wolf. without the piebald, you guessed that they would blend in seamlessly, especially with the occasional clouds rolling by.

seeming to notice you at the same time, the wolf's head rose from the ground, and their tail lifted to gently wag in greeting. a little apprehensive, you return the friendliness as they cantered up to you. the gentle ring of a soft voice reached your ears as he opened his maw.

"hello!" he chimed, unique eyes scanning you once he was close enough. slightly nervous at the boldness, you simply smile and greet him back. soft winds ruffled his fur as he continued to speak, and his kind words and body posture had you relaxing as time went on. his scent was a mixture of amber with a hint of sandalwood.

"my name is requiem. you're the first wolf i've seen here in quite some time. i'm sure you've been on your paws for a while, though. would you like to rest with me?" he inquired, looking down at you with a light smile. his last sentence made you truly realize how tired you were, so you accepted his offer gratefully.

so, requiem led you to a cluster of tors seated on a hill, warmed by the sunlight shining past the clouds. he seemed very familiar with this area as he made his way to a specific spot, dropping his hinds onto the ground. "come, make yourself comfortable. stay as long as you'd like."
