Clan Character: These cats live in a cave system and are used to a darker atmosphere and close-quarter combat. They are agile and cunning, making them great at ambushing. Prey: Fish, mice, vole, birds, and the occasional rabbit Appearance: Lithe and muscular. Pelts are usually black, brown, or tortoiseshell to blend in their darker surroundings. Territory: Pine forest with a steady river running close to camp. Camp is inside a cave system. Echostar woke up to a bright shaft of light shining next to his den. He yawned and stretched, blinking the sleep out of his eyes. Echostar walked out of his den and scanned his beloved camp. As dawn's first lights had just started filtering through the treetops, no one else was stirring. I'll get some early hunting in, I'm sure Sleekfur will have the patrols under control. Leaping down the rocks that lead up to his den, Echostar walked outside, where a cool Leaf-fall breeze hit him. Echostar opened his mouth ajar, scenting for prey. Suddenly, he hears a scuffle from the underbrush. |

The she yawned- giving her hind legs a mighty kick as she stood. Stretching them out for the day. She shook her head, the morning dew dripping softly on her nose and ears. We need this den reinforced.. "Wonder what I'll do today- maybe go on a border patrol or two." She chittered to herself, padding out of the den. |

Watching the clan slowly start to wake, I frowned once noticing my son wasn't up yet. Grumbling under my breath, I stood and padded over to the apprentices den, poking my head inside and spotting a dark brown ball of fur. "Brownpaw!" I snapped, cuffing the tom's ears. "Get up. Now!" (Eeeehhhh! So excited!) |

Jerking awake at the sound of my father's voice and a sting in my ear. Blinking tiredly, I stood and stumbled out of the den, shooting my father a glare as I passed him. I stayed up till moonhigh practicing battle moves, so get off me you fox-heart |

Echostar crouched down, using her black pelt as an advantage. He crept up onto his prey... and pounced. The vole was caught between his paws, and with one quick nip, it fell limp. Echostar scraped dirt over the catch and started to track again. |

Sighing, I padded over to the clan deputy as the clan began gathering around him. "What are we doing for training today?" Iasked, yawning and i shook out my thick brown coat, exhaustion clinging to my pelt. |

Once Echostar had gotten a good amount of prey- one vole and two sparrows, he sat by the water and started fishing. His thoughts drifted away and he started to see the face of Moonstar- the beautiful white she-cat he was in love with. Shaking his head, Echostar told himself to focus. The relationship was secret- of course, so he needed to stay of the radar, at least until moonhigh. Flicking his paw into the water, the leader just missed a fish. Hissing, Echostar decided he already had a great solo hunt, no need to hook any slimey fish out of the water. He walked back to camp with his catch dangling from his jaws, and put down the two sparrows. Then he laid down and started to eat his vole, biting into the tender flesh, still warm. |
