The feel I got for fang is genuinely, he's sweet and playful and cares about everyone, but with batclaws teachings and wanting to make batclaw and his mom proud he does some bad things. And he's not like batclaw, entirely, he would never train his apprentice with claws out, and he would never murder a kittypet to teach his apprenrice a lesson
