"Hey!" He spat back, also picking up his pace. He caught up to her, however didn't go much faster. He stopped once they had reached a small clear area, that seemed to have some foliage around it. |

Skidding to a halt, panting hard from the short run, I sat next to him and rested my muzzle against his shoulder, catching my breath while gazing at Moonclan territory. |

He quickly spun around, his back to ShadeBelly. He then lowered his head and grabbed the flowers he has been hiding- before turning around and facing the she. "ShadeBelly, you're the most beautiful and intelligent she I know. Your fur is of the swans and your smile is of the sun." He purred, his head tilting slightly as his eyes glimmered. "And- I love you." He picked off a flower from the bouquet, and placed it in her fur before dropping the rest of the flowers. He waited patiently for her answer (Preparing for his little Tom heart to be broken) |

"Oh, Moonwalker," I breathed, shock and disbelief shooting through my body. "I love you too." I winced, staring into his hopefully eyes before lowering my gaze to the ground. "But, I'm a medicine cat. You're the deputy, it's forbidden. We could never work out." (He's gotta convince her lol) |

You could see it in his eyes, his heart was shattered. "That- it doesn't matter, it can work. I'll make it work- I'll do whatever I need to do. Please." He begged, pleaded. "If the sun and the moon can meet, why can't we? If foliage can grow in the dead lands- why can't our relationship grow? If a dog can love a cat, why can't you love me?" His eyes welded up with tears. (The dog is unrelated btw, just an example) |

Laughing softly at the dog and cat scenario, I blinked back tears, unable to look at him and see his crushed expression. "Okay, we can give it a try," I meowed, finally glancing up at him What am I doing? This is forbidden! But I love him. Oh, Starclan, why did I chose the path of a medicine cat "But if it gets to dangerous, if there's even a possibility we could get caught, then we'll call it off." Pausing, I hesitantly pressed against him, entwining his tail and nuzzling his cheek. |
